I recently acquired a 'Grail doll' of mine, a Volks SDG Charlotte. Needless to say, I am very excited to finally have her. As was seen in my last post, she sleeps in an violin case bed I made for her.

I liked to think that I was good at finding names for inanimate objects that fit, but Anastacia proved a challenge. I considered 'Charlotte,' 'Sakura,' and 'Elsa' among others. However, they did not seem to fit quite right. About a week after she arrived, I decided to give her my favourite girl's name, 'Anastacia,' using a spelling variant to force the preferred pronunciation. Her pet name will be 'Anya' though. Poor thing has a name as big as she is.

Anya will be modelling her default outfit and a school girl outfit I bough a while back before I realized the difference between SD & MSD clothing sizes.

Thank you, evilarrex. That is correct; Charlotte & Lieselotte were released at the same time. (For the longest time I thought the other doll's name was 'Liesolette' instead of "Lieselotte.' The latter reminds me of 'Lancelot,' so I must have 'read' the more feminine 'Liesolette.')

  Random factoid: Lieselotte (or Liselotte) is a combination of the Hebrew Liese (same root as Elisa and Elizabeth) and the French Charlotte.
  
  It's also the name of a number of 2-D characters in Japan (compared to its extreme rarity in real life). Examples include Arcana Heart, 11eyes, and two characters each with half the name in Nanoha A's.

Yes, Anya is rather partial to literature, though in the last picture she is surrounded by my college physics and mathematics textbooks. I cropped the shot to get more of Anya in it. :)

Thank you very much, Anea-chi! I am very fond of the head Anya's head sculpt. Everything about her face is just so lovely.
Given how old she's supposed to be, I thought a simple school girl outfit would work very well to enhance (if such a thing is possible ;) ) the overall charm of the doll.
