Visited the Washinomiya Shrine as my otaku pilgrimage during my Japan trip late last month. Those who have watched Lucky Star would probably know that this is the shrine where the Hiiragi sisters are supposed to worked at as miko.
Initially had wanted to reach there early to avoid shooting in bright sunlight but in the end it took quite a while to reach there as I mistakenly took the wrong train that was going in the opposite direction and also got a bit lost while trying to find the shrine. Nonetheless I still managed to find my way there, had a nice stroll around the area and had fun looking at the fantastic artwork on the Ema plaques displayed there.

How wonderful, The only pilgrimage i did was the K-ON! school which was amazing however this has always been on my list to visit.

  I would love to visit the K-ON! school as well, but for this trip I only planned to stay around Tokyo so I didn't have the chance to go there as it is a little too far away. I'm planning on visiting Kyoto the next time so the school will definitely be on my list to visit.

This place is awesome. I didn't have as good of light the two times I was there, you got lucky!

  Yeah I'm pretty lucky to have sunny weather on most days during my week there in Japan.
  Yes it's still there but didn't managed to take a good picture of it.

  Just a simple translation here.
  1. Red route: This route takes a little longer time but it's easier for first timers. Takes about 10 min.
  2. Blue route: This is a shorter route through the residential area but the streets are narrow so need to look out for cars. Takes about 7-8 min.
  3. Green route: An alternative route halfway through the Red route which goes along the river where flowers bloom during the beginning of spring. Takes about 10 min.

  I think I saw 1 or 2 figure stores around there when I was wandering around being lost though quite a number of stores there have Lucky Star posters pasted on their doors.
