FS: MISB GSC Support Miku Charity Auction for Tohoku
Bidding is now closed. Thank you for your support!
Even though it has been nearly 2 years since the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, hundreds of thousands of people in the Tohoku region are still living in temporary housing or otherwise unable to go back to their homes. Now that media coverage of the event is practically non-existent, many charities and development projects in Japan that are focused on ongoing community rebuilding need support more than ever.
I am auctioning off a new, MISB, GSC 1/8 Cheerful Miku Support ver. Instead of simply selling the figure and keeping the profits for myself, I wanted to put Support Miku on auction and donate all profits to the charity Global Giving. On March 11th, Global Giving will match the donation 200% for all donations made. Global Giving will then direct these funds to the project of the donator's choice. Unless the winning bidder has a specific project in mind to donate to, I would like to direct funds to the Build Back Better Tohoku project. This project has been working to rebuild important architecture in the Tohoku area such as local businesses and community centers, allowing for more long term community restructuring and independence.
GSC's Cheerful Miku Support ver. was first sold 1 year ago as a fundraiser for the 1st year anniversary of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Now that it is the 2nd year anniversary, I am hoping that she can raise more funds for relief efforts.
The starting bid is $135, which is the amount I paid for her at release. All profits raised beyond this price will be donated to globalgiving.org. Don't miss this chance to not only get this figure, but also donate to relief efforts.
Please post your bid in the comments below or send an email to email@example.com to place your bid.
I will end the auction on March 12th 1:59:59 AM JST and the winning bidder will be expected to send the payment via Paypal at that time.
