Is evangelion available on DVD in the UK?

   It's out there, I'm sure. Here in the States, it's out of print, and ADV has lost the license, although a number of anime specialty shops still have new copies. You may be able to find it at a different seller. Otherwise, the current plan seems to be to rerelease the series after the films have finished up, according to Funimation, the US distributor of the Rebuild movies.

   End of Evangelion just wasn't released in the amount that the TV series was on DVD, so it's actually pretty rare. I know sealed copies in the US have gone for over $100. However, if you wait for the rerelease, it's certain that both Death and Rebirth and End of Evangelion would be included.

      Wow, thanks! Very detailed answer ^^ I think I will wait then for a rerelease, I don't want to pay over £20 for a DVD. Oh and thanks for telling me about funimation a plan to release the series, it's the best news I've had all day :3

   yeah ADV released it in the UK until they went out of business. You can still find copies about the place though.
   eg Play.com or ebay

   Alternatively there's the new movies released by Manga Entertainment in the UK which is a new take/re-edit of the original series. The first movie is mostly a re-edit with remastered animation/sound but the second movie is very different with loads of new animation. The third movie should be out soon enough. ^^

   Yep. You can still find copies of the Platinum Edition pretty cheaply. Death&Rebirth/EoE are harder, as Galvatim said. I would check local video stores for that, you get some gems. And the new movies are out.

      Death and rebirth down here are pretty common, last I looked Vintage stock had 3 or 4 copies 2 new others were used. Also had 2 copies of EoE for around $20 or so each.

   I know here in Midwest U.S. we have some Vintage stock stores that carry the volumes of the original series but boy are they pricey. I think if you are lucky you may be able to find a copy on amazon in europe, prices may suck though.
