Mim's Room Update 2015
Been a pretty long time since my last room update and, as I am now nearing the twilight of my figure collecting days, perhaps now is a good time for a fresh round of photos!
I've pretty much posted my entire history of collecting on this amazing site via regular loot posts. If nothing else, it can serve as case study material for one of the more extreme collectors around? Not that I'm boasting, far from it. I simply have a habit of taking hobbies perhaps a little more to their extremes than most ^_^"
As any collector can attest, its a personal thing. My tastes are my own meaning I don't simply buy something at random. Every addition has its purpose and for me it stems from my love of Anime and the desire to have a visual / artistic piece to remind me of my fondness for its show.
Earlier I mentioned winding down my figure collecting. Do I have regrets? Only that I lack the space to properly display anything more than I have now, so to be honest, its more a realization that I need to slow down. Although I have kept every single Nendo related box and its accessories, I've always tossed any other figure boxes away.
In my time with making loot posts, and oh so many photo's as part of that, I've really come to enjoy smart phone photography. If you zip round my earlier posts you will notice I moved through several generations of iPhones and so image quality progressed over the years. I used nothing more than my trusty iPhone 5 for my last holiday trip to Japan http://www.figure.fm/en/post/47391/Mim+s+2013+Japan+Trip+Day+1.html and I'll be going on a new trip to Korea + Japan next month where, I will take loads more pics, using my new iPhone 6.
Much like professional photography you learn to appreciate the strengths and weaknesses of the camera you use, and how to work it to get the best image you can. By way of example I took close to 500 pictures for this photo shoot, just for the 80 you see here. Its a case of working out the lighting you need, the angle, setting the focal point and then taking a few pic's and adjusting up brightness levels from one pic to the next. Am I any good at it? Not really, but its fun!
So all said and done I hope you enjoy my pic's and am more than happy to chat (down below) from one collector to another :)

My final Stratos IS Freeing 1/4 Bunny girl arrived. Figured I'd pop a tiny loot post at the end of the main room post. I believe she is possibly the largest figure I own now.
I bought a bunch of mini figure lights and used some here for some giggles.
