Onsen resort in Hakone was pretty spectacular. Took advantage of the hot springs in the morning for a really relaxing start to the day and went for a nice little walk of the nearby area.

One of the lighter day's on photo content. It was pretty chilled out and I didn't want to push the group into any sort of an afternoon tour seeing as we had a 90min shinkansen / bullet train ride back to Tokyo to deal with on this day and the need to cart all our bags round as part of the fun.

Certainly do recommend this hotel. The rooms were nice and modern and location was quite nice seeing as its also across from a train station making the transit to Tokyo on this day a little easier to manage.

It was around 10deg c or colder so the air was fresh and quite crisp.

This tiny little building was actually a shop!

Our hotel almost looks like a Dr Evil secret base.

Typical shelf of manga at the 7 Eleven down the road where we grabbed a small breakfast.

That plum wine in the green bottle costs around $40 in Australia or about $13.50 off the shelf in a Japanese 7 Eleven.

The main road through the local shopping area and train station slowly coming to life in the morning and opening shop. Train station just down and to the left.

Apparently an international drivers license is really easy to get. In Australia its like $30 aud and a week or two for it to come in once you make the online submission.

That small breakfast from the earlier morning walk. The rice triangles are so ubiquitous that Family mart and Seven Eleven both stock almost the exact same range, just different packaging. Probably the same supplier. I had a hot potato croquette complete with the nice sauce you pore on for taste.

We checked out and then started our transit to Tokyo.

Odawara station in Hakone is where you board Shinkansen's. Quite a large station with loads of stores and eateries.

We checked into a different Tokyo Hotel for the remainder of the trip and then myself and one other went for another ride back on the JR train loop to Ikebukuro.

We found this amazing little apple pie store just to the left of the JR train station as you come out onto the street level. The shop had space for no more than two customers to come in off the street so the queue formed out the door and onto the street. Yes they were super tasty.

Reason for the return trip was to by more Gunpla seeing as this place had the largest range and lowest prices.

We all met up for dinner and headed out. Found a neat and cozy little dinner type restaurant. This was a mini pumpkin soup appetiser.
