Disney Land Sea, if there was ever a single theme park to include on a trip to Japan, this would certainly be the one. Truly spectacular, but I will let the pictures portray some of that.

The weather this day was truly spectacular. Worthy of mention the UV radiation in Japan is far lower than many other countries. Australia is generally category 13 or 14 extreme, Japan is closer to 1 or 2 most of the time. Case in point I not once felt the need to wear sun glasses and certainly did not feel sunscreen was needed.

This was towards the end of March so I imagine things would be a little different come proper Summer time though.

My 60cm smart doll, this time with clothes! More on her in my loot post if interested. http://www.figure.fm/en/post/58209/Mim+s+Japan+2017+Trip+Loot+Mirai+visit.html

In the background you can see one of the hotel TV's and near her feet my iPad and cabling to play shows onto the TV. Great way to unwind at the end of a long day of walking.

It was actually unseasonably cold for this time of year so the Cherry Blossoms were only just barely starting to bud and bloom.

As you exit the Keiyo Line Maihama Station, Disney Sea is to your left and Disney Land is to your right.

We decided to be cheap and simply walk there though you can hop on a paid Monorail to get you there faster. It was a nice little 1km walk or so with things to see.

The first thing you see upon entry to Disney Sea. Makes wonder if you screwed up and somehow ended up at Universal Studios instead ^.^"

It really hammers home the "theme" in theme park.

The afore mentioned Volcano is actually a ride and an awesome one at that. For those that have never done theme parks, this is a fast pass. The idea is you walk up to a row of machines near the ride and scan your entry ticket in. The machine then spits out a time stamped pass advising you can join the fast queue at this time and get onto your ride within minutes rather than queuing for 2 hours. This gives you time to explore the rest of the part and grab a bite etc. Smart.

Much like other theme parks, Disney Sea is split into clearly defined zones themed around various parts of the world.

The crowds were a little on the heavy side given it was school holiday's. Tinny miscalculation on my part.

So we nabbed some breakfast while the eateries were totally deserted. This was really tasty with a nice and thick chicken and corn with mushroom soup in the yellow cup.

It looks like bumper cars on water, but they never make contact as they ride on rails. The water is perhaps only 1 foot deep. Looked like a lot of fun though.

That pass in the middle is the booby prize for trying to get another fast pass too soon. Most day's you are allowed one per hour, but with the crowds we saw it was sadly one every 2 hrs. Live and learn they say.

Rides generally start the moment you come into the queue with exhibits and themed displays to amuse people as they shuffle their way through the queue to the actual ride.

See you CAN buy fresh fruit from convenience stores. Just be warned you will loose your sense of location and decorum as you cackle manically out loud at the prices. Because I can cheat and zoom into the original photo, the large nicely packed individual Strawberries in the top left were 598y a pop or $7aud.

That said the rest was not terrible, but still a little up there. The twin pack of carrots were 178y, Individual banana's were 120y, the bunches of five banana's were 398y. The punnets of strawberries were 225y and the 10 pack of cherry tomato's in that black punnet beneath (middle of second shelf down) were 148y.
