Mitsuwa Marketplace Photo-Walk
The day after I met with the Anime Resource Group/FanimeCon Staff in November, I spotted a peculiar shopping center that I couldn't pass up on the way home. I'm very glad that I checked it out- and of course, I've brought that experience home to show you. Please enjoy this photo-walk through Mitsuwa Marketplace, featuring Kinokuniya Book Store, TOTO, Mitsuwa Supermarket, CellPhoneGame/KDDI store, and more. The majority of this article however, covers Kinokuniya thanks to figure.fm's picture limit, I was only able to post up to 30 pics. But the full post with 40+ pics that includes TOTO, Mitsuwa Supermarket, CellPhoneGame/KDDI store, can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/dhsYOJ

-Real quick before you begin the photo-walk, I've compiled 3 videos of footage of our experience for you, don't miss out on these exclusive KazuVlogs!
-Photowalk, begin!

And, that's it folks! Thanks for joining me on this photo-walk.
It was an incredible morning, filled with friendly folks greeting with "ohayou!"(good morning).
-I'll definitely be sure to visit there again sometime in the near future. Kinokuniya is an otaku heaven, and Mitsuwa Marketplace is the closest thing to Akihabara here in California.
-Hope you've enjoyed my coverage.
As always,
~Kazu

We have a little Sanseido bookstore in our local Mitsuwa. That's it. :/ Very jealous of your Mitsuwa!
Wow, look at all of the -stuff-! Looks like an otaku paradise :) I'd love to go there!
I want a hard copy of this ~
You wn't regret buying the "Shimada Fumikane Art Works" boo, I have it and it's gorgeous! ^^
I'll be hopping around the place like bambi in his magical forest land..X3
Yup, that was me for several hours.
Would this happen to be the Mitsuwa in Torrance CA ? I used to frequent that place back when I lived there. It was always a 45 minute drive, (now its a 5 hour drive lol) and it was always fun. The food court in the Market was really cool. Lots of different food, and they even had kotatsu during winter ! Brings back lots of good memories. Thanks for sharing !
Yeah, which one? This doesn't look like the one in Mar Vista, and I don't remember the Kinokuniya at the one in Torrance.
i think this is the mitsuwa/kinokuniya in san jose, ca (norcal)
Could be. Come to think of it, I never saw a Kinokuniya in the Mitsuwa market place.
Bing! You get points! You're correct. ^_^
Someone's going to get more than a mouthfull!LOL
you should have grab those nendo's and figma's *u*
I'd would hope that kind of shops exist in my place, I like magazines!
bootlegs??????
This reminds me to check out Little Tokyo again in Los Angeles. Kinokuniya, Anime Jungle. I haven't been there in a long time.
I think the Kinokuniya in SF is much better though...
I like the Kinokuniya at San Francisco, too. Never been to the one in San Jose, though.
At the Mitsuwa in San Diego, there's a Sanseido and there's a hobby place called Trendy that sells some really great goods :3 There's also a Book-Off a couple of shops down, too.
I want all of those!!! lol
