MG Sinanju Ver. DH
Hey guys! This is my first post here ^^
I just started building Gunpla around January 2010, and Sinanju was the first kit I chose.
Despite being my first model, it was rather unforgiving ^^; from having over 147 decals, thin gold trims that are painstakingly hard to mask or paint, and the large amount of parts that added up to reveal small details on the kit...but I digress.
The labor and time taken may have been tremendous, but working on this project has allowed me to test out my modeling skills and expand my creativity to aesthetically enhance the finished result.
Not to mention that the result looks badass :P
Incidentally, I've been planning to do MG Strike Freedom as my next project. But regarding painting the gold frame...should I first apply gloss black base coat before spraying on the gold? (if so, I'll be using Mr. Color's Gloss Black and Super Gold) Or should I just skip the base coat?

The color scheme I followed was on the tutorial done by mtomczek (thanks ^^), but without the mixture of clear orange.

I've modded the funnels to hide the LED wires. After drilling holes to fit in the wires, I've proceeded to cut a portion of some pen caps to put onto the area.

Small LED mod I did on the head ^^

I've also added an LED inside the cockpit.

Got this at a local hobby shop. It also came with the novel too but sadly I can't read Kanji ><

More minor details that's been painted.

Painted details inside the skirts.

Agh, being my first time here, I'm having a hard time editing this post ><
There's an 'edit' button near the bottom of the screen.
For a second, I thought it was the titanium finish version, but it looks great anyways! Love the lighting effects too.
Oh thanks ^^
Haha, I got that a few times from my friends too. I had to show them the WIP shots to convince them otherwise.
Dude, this has got to be the best MG Sinanju I've seen by far.
Would love to see more of your builds.
Thanks :)
I question the validity of electrical wiring in fuel tanks... Or rather, incredibly flammable propellant tanks.
I'm a huge fan of shiny gunpla :) Very nice job :D
Haha, same here ^^ I love the metallic tone the modelers/Bandai give to their gunpla. Thanks! :)
Nice work and nice finish!
Thank you ^^
WOW! Amazing job! すごい! I really love the LED units! Great job and keep up the good work!
Thanks! I'll try my best for the next one!
Wow that's pretty sweet.
Makes my models look like trash T_T
The sky's the limit, with enough effort and motivation you'll be able to make a decent model :)
when you see something like this which is a work of artsmanship, this is one of them. great job man!
Thanks :D
One of the better shiny sinanju's I've seen here. Great work, friend.
Looks real good, that one shot looks like 3DCG though I suggest you use better lighting next time.. ;D
This sinanju is awesome!!! I built mine but want to make some changes. I really like the red! Great job and keep it up =D
I bow before your superior skill! _|¯|O
Wow kinda like the metallic MG Sinanju but BETTER.. You have good skills!!
The battery placement is genius. I'll have to work a bit harder on that when I get the chance to do another LED mod.
