New Room, and a large box

Posted by GabrielVH [www]

I finally got into my new room on Sunday, but have only gotten around to snapping a few photos today. There's still some things left to do, organising, neatening things up etc etc. But, I'm liking it so far!

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

My desk

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

My daughters, default positions lol until I take their photos in these outfits (only Yui and Nanoha left). Then I'll they'll be changing into different outfits, swapping clothes.. and who knows what happens when my back's turned XD

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

Four IKEA Detolf cabinets, on top of two Effecktiv drawer units for accessories, outfits, and bits and bobs.

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

Sofa, back of the desk. Haven't actually had the time to sit down here and relax yet! :/

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

Corner lamp, with my TV unit / shelving

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

Hmm, what's in this big box? Nanoha seems to know as she asks to open it..

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

She's just about taller than it! Enough height for her to survey the best way to break the magical bounds that bind the cardboard together.

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

"Is this is..? A box of.... What even are these????"

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

"I think I can... lift it out.."

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

"Ta-da!"

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

"All done!" *poses*

I wanted to get her to pose like the Exceed mode, except Nanoha's right arm was feeling a bit weak and floppy after tearing through all that packaging!

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

"Don't I.....we? Look great!"

Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box
Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box
Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box
Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box
Mouseover = load notes.
New Room, and a large box

So, all done!

I hope to soon have my photo-shoot area up and going (it's the single table in the corner behind my desk). I'll drape over it and the wall some fabric / backgrounds, and hopefully it should work quite well.

So what do you guys think? ^-^;

      Thanks :) I was trying to go for that (as a work space) but also it's my figures and daughters that I want to stand out the most, not necessarily the furniture, which is why it's dark brown haha

    Really cool setup, love the detolfs on top of the drawers. Are you using the bottom 4legs on the detolfs and are they secured to the wall or something?

      Thanks Shiki ^-^ Neither the Detolfs nor the drawers have their legs on, so they're sitting flat atop each other. It's pretty sturdy though, you'd have to want yo go out of your way to try and topple one lol

    Very lovely room and setup! I just bought 5 Detolf display cases myself for my collection. Those drawers you have under the Detolf cases... what kind are they? I was thinking of a similar setup. If those are IKEA, then I can solve my problem with one stop tomorrow. (Gotta go to IKEA for more bookshelves for manga and artbooks.) :)
