Hanna-Justina Bf109

In the past I've created several 'Strike Witches' based skins for the characters respective planes (or as close as I could get) in the PC game 'Il2 Sturmovik'. I then wondered about the possibility of making a model and painting it up like one of the skins I created...

So diving headfirst back into the world of model kits (the last kit I built was several years ago ^^; ) I purchased a Revell 'Bf-109 K-4' kit and decided that the first skin I'd try to re-create would be my Hanna-Justina Marseille skin (for those that don't know her, Hanna-Justina is a character from the light novels).

I was on a very tight budget with this and also I had time constriants to worry about (I wanted it ready for Minami con), and as such the final quality isn't what I'd have hoped, but for my first kit in a while I'm happy with it. Lessons have been learned and I'm hoping to be to put what I've learned to good use when I build my Sakamoto A6M at some point in the future. Still I thought this might be of interest to some people, so I thought I'd share with you.

Thanks, the camo patteren wasn't planned however as the 2 paints I had didn't match up (one spray and one pot). I had to paint the cocpit frame and some of the fuselarge with the pot and discovered the difference, so a hasty camo pattern was added. It was only after I'd put the clear-coat on that I found it darkened the spray colour to the same as the pot colour >_<

Still I've begun the hunt for an A6M to work on, though my local model shop doesn't carry much in the way of 1:32 scale axis planes so I'm currently shopping around and seeing what I can get and from where.

I intend to have a proper build report done up on that one as I make it.
