Mobip Ritsu (with authentic battle damage!)

My friend's little brother just recently purchased his first anime figure, and favorite character, Ritsu (Mobip). He is still new to figures, and accidentally pulled off her arm thinking it pops back in like her hands and head. The thing is, her arms aren't meant to be interchangeable, and thus weren't designed to be removed. So now her arm is disjointed from the shoulder.

Question: What's the best adhesive to use to repair this kind of damage? I don't often have to make repairs, so I don't know what's best. Someone recommended some epoxy glue, and my friend suggest using a hot glue gun that we have. Just need some advice and opinions on the matter.

    Well, I usually use Selley's Super Glue to fix my Miku when her hair got broken. Good as new now. :)

    Shape-lock. Its a kind of a thermal nylon which melts in hot water (it reversible). Its a little harder then the native plastic in the doll and if make a mistake all you need to do is place it in hot water and it melts.

    For someone who is not used to doing these kinds of repairs I suggest this method because it offers a good reversibility.

    If you choose super glue. The trick to un-fusing a joint is a acetone. Get a very fine little brush. Tease the joint with a little amount of acetone. Then quickly dry the joint flex it a little and repeat. The key is only to get the acetone in the join where you cant see it. If left on the model to long it will ruin the paint job/melt the doll. Speed is key.

    When I had to fix the leg joint of my Domtropen model (stupid cat knocked off my dresser) and put a shoulder fin back on an eva figure I have I used something called Zap-a-gap or Zap. We originally bought the stuff to use for making a remote control airplane and it holds together amazingly. I would not suggest hot glue at all unless you don't want to move the shoulder joint.

      Haha, that's why I was against the idea of the hot glue gun! Glad I asked first o_o;;

    I bought Mio, and my other two friends bought Yui and Mugi in order to help him complete his drum set. Otherwise, Ritsu would've just had the bass drum *sadface*.

    Yeah, super glue is okay for the static parts, not the joints you'll use a lot when you fiddle with it. i.e., the bow on the back of my nendo Reimu's skirt broke off when it fell off my shelf but super glue is okay for the job since it doesn't move around at all anyway.

    Hot glue just sounds messy for the such a small joint unless you have a skilled hand. I also don't think hot glue is meant for a lot of movement, like super glue. It'll likely break under the stress.
