Just read Volume 1 of the manga today. One word: WOW. i just can't put it off. Now, I need some zombie-killing games to cool down my head.

Issue 6 of the manga is suppose to be slated for July, about the same time as the anime release.

I didnt read the manga, but after seeing the PV wow, its very similar to Left4Dead in many ways and I'm gonna watch it!!!
Oh my. Now that is my kind of story. Watching the trailer puts the manga on the top of my "must read" list. The graphics in the anime look outstanding. Can't wait.

I would say the through Aimpoint on the M14 and after you have finished "business", then look at what is supporting the M14 ;p

Well, the artist of the series also does doujins under the name Inazuma, or Digital Accel Works, so you kinda expect it to be rather gratuitous~

Is it supposed to be like left4dead-ish? You know...they pretty much joke the entire time. Well in left 4 dead 1 >.>...
It's definately a fun read. There're a lot of zombie movie plugs here and there(Simon Pegg look alike is found working at a 7-11 in one chapter, although he has absolutely nothing to do with the story, his name tag read sai-mon in kanji). There's plenty of zombie scenes, but it's not purely a run & gun type scenario. For the most part, you'll find them planning lots.
as for that Simon Pegg look-alike, I've checked it out. Yup, he's there :)

If not my favourite manga, it's definitely a close second. I've been reading HOTD from the beginning. The manga is just awesome as the author really tells the story so well. Not to mention the drawings are really attractive.
Worst part for the fans from the beginning was the huge hiatus we had to deal with. It's now on another hiatus after the 60 page chapter effort, but that chapter had one of the best cliffhangers in recent times.
I can't wait for the anime. I really hope it doesn't deviant from the manga. I have so much hope for this anime I can't express it properly in words. :)

Yeah. I've been waiting for months, checking from time to time if there's any new content. Hopefully, the anime adaptation will make up for it.
this only reminds me how eff'd japan would be during a zombie apocoplyse. a an isolated, highly concentrated megalopolis with a strong reliance on technology with almost no firearms what so ever.

this manga has an amazing storyline, could probably go beyond an anime and make a movie out of this
