Most Epic?

Posted by monev

So back in '08 I was able to take a long dreamed of trip to Tokyo. When I left on the trip I had decided that I will bring home something epic. I fully intended on buying a lot for sure, but I also wanted at least one thing that could only be described as grand. I wasn't sure what it was going to be, but that I would know it when I saw it.

And there it was; Dendrobium.

Don't be fooled. I may be labeled HG but that's only because even at 1/144 its still over a meter long! (barrel tip to exhaust) To do a 1/100 or 1/60 of this would be beyond insane, So they packed all the detail and build excellence of a PG in HG scale. If you have a HG gundam sitting on your shelf right now then you know how big the little guy in the middle is, as he is a entire HG gundam kit himself. My gunpla skills aren't good enough yet where I would tackle this and be truly happy with the result (I are anal). So for now it just sits on a shelf, on display in its box, and even that makes me happy.

So how about you? What's the most epic single piece loot you have?

Mouseover = load notes.
Most Epic?

Kagami for scale. the gundam piloting the armor is called the "stamen" as Dendrobium is a type of orchid. and is included in the kit like a kit within a kit.

Mouseover = load notes.
Most Epic?

Customs didn't really know what the hell to make out of this so they ended up messing up the box some, but its okay. inside the big box is 2 smaller boxes that the parts are in directly, and those and the parts are in perfect condition. and so you know, there very little space left over in there. It's ALL parts.

      Especially since my grand-master-plan has me installing fiber optics too. but that's why im leveling up my skills on "lesser" kits first.

        To build it you would need something like an automotive garage. and be up-to-date on your welding skills. and at that scale i expect to be able to fly it around XD

    Your intro was a really good read..

    Yo dawg, I heard you like building Gunpla, so we put a Gunpla in your Gunpla so you can build while you build.

    Now THAT is a big model. I am a model builder, and I thought the big rig truck I have was big, but this is insane. Definitely put lights into it. That will be AWESOME!!!
