Folks, the news we have been waiting for has finally been announced! Volks USA will be holding a separate lottery for DD Sasara and DD Louise. I have been checking Volks USA site almost daily ever since the Nagoya event announcement, but when I got up early today and getting ready to drive my daughters out for an extended photo session today and I was greeted by an email from member Chibichibiusa with the Volks USA lottery announcement!
The entry period is from August 23-August 26, for those of you who are served by Volks USA (USA, Canada and Mexico) can try your hand on this lottery. Volks USA delivery will be slower than Volks International event but I am going to try my hand on this as a safe bet measure since I don’t want to keep all of my eggs in one basket (namely to pin all of my hope that I can win the lottery in the After Event lottery which is scheduled to happen on Sept 12-13 Japan time).
And of course, I will be using my trump card for the lottery!
YESSS!! There is hope that she'll be available at the Volks Int'l Website!!
Coffee, I think the flow of events is like this:
Dolpa Nagoya 4 and Volks USA lottery held at the same time -> Whatever left over get put on Dolpa Nagoya 4 After Event lottery.
But as we both know AE lottery will get shipped much sooner than Volks USA. I think I am putting my lottery ticket in as a safe bet measure though to increase my chance to use my rider card to summon Sasara!
Well, my plan is.. If I don't manage to adopt Sasara, I'll be putting my liver up for sale to get Tamaki or Saber Alter. before the end of the year.
So we, the unfortunate ones, fated to have their wallets burned to death by lovely dollies, should wait for September 12-13 for the AE lottery, to get DDDy Sasara...
But will they ship to Europe, or are we going to have to use a proxy service?
Should not have any problem shipping to Europe.
Volks international website does ship to Europe, got my Rin from there.
My plan is to enter the USA lottery, if I win then that would be it. If not, then I will go for AE, worst case YJA.
After getting Saber Alter from Japan, I'm content with the two dollfies.
But Volks are trying MIGHTY hard to get me to buy another! >.<

The meat of the story is in the 2nd part, the 3rd part will provide insight to the happenings in the 2nd part. I have got to give my kudos to Leaf, the story is intricate and with subtle hints all the way.

XDDD That was shopped, but I am slowly building up my 1/1 costume, I have already acquired the first piece at the Bon Dance Festivel at Mitsuwa Chicago.

Namely the Feisty Girl's Casual Bikini Set, Feisty Girl's Casual Bikini Set, and the White Lolita Babydoll. Maybe they're post something about those closer to the event or after.
Those may be up to Volks International, but I am not too sure at this point.
The outfits are usually sold at the Volks International After Even site about 1 month after the dollpa on a "first come first serve". It's really crazy as things can dissapear in seconds after they are available to put in your cart, and there's so many people on the site at the same time that it can be super slow, crashing and going up and down lol XD. By the time you check out, some items might not be in your cart anymore T_T it can be pretty hard. You need a fast connection and fast clicking!!
If you are a bit patient and wait about 2 months after the dollpa, the outfits usually make it to Volks USA in limited numbers. Again it's a first come first serve and very popular items can get sold out in seconds after they are posted, like some very limited SD16 clothes. But at least the USA site does not seem to crash like the international ones, I guess because less people are competing for the items. I've tested to see how many of each item they seem to have by putting a large numbers in my cart, and sometimes it looks like they only have 3 or 4 of some items so you gotta be quick! ^^
Then there's always yahoo jp auction or ebay, stuff starts to show up for auction the same day as the Dollpa on yahoo jp!

I will probably just wait and see if it comes to US site anyway. I would like to have them but not going to be terribly upset if I don't get them. Plus like you said, always after market venues to look at =p

Sasara is so cute and sexy but I think I want a cheerful girl in future like Yoko or maybe nanoha head even ^^; recently bought something else instead of Yoko head (oops) so will have to sit this one out (these are not 100% what I want also)
I'm the same way...both are cute but there is another Dollfie I want a lot more. So going to save up a little for it.
Clothes on the other hand...lol ^^; I want to see Yoko in that Feisty Girl set =3
Sasara became my target when I finished playing her arc on ToHeart 2 and covering her story in my blog, she has a different personality than any of my daughters so far, so she should be able to fill the gap. And since her "past life" was an ancient Mu Warrior, that will certainly make a good story in the future ^^;
I still don't know any of the ToHeart characters, so thats a fail for me. But Louise looks so pretty! Maybe if I'm lucky, I can make her my first Dolfie. I would need to increase my credit though...

I am a little new to the dollfie world so please forgive my ignorance in advance :D
How often does Volks release limited edition dolls through lottery, is it annual or more like quarterly? Any help would be great I am trying to decided whether to try for the gorgeous Sasara or hold out for a DDdy with a normal bust (the shapely is a little too much woman for me :D ) Thanks all.
At the rate they are going right now, they are on a ~3 months release event schedule. Are you looking for a specific character or just any DDDy body with normal bust?
I see... My dream doll is Kan'u with the normal DDDy body, I don't know anything about her anime but she was the first dollfie I ever saw (by accidently being linked to this website when searching for why oversleeping causes headaches) and I cannot stop comparing all others to her. However, I am beginning to realize that she is very difficult to adopt.
So I am beginning to contemplate others, which leads me to another question: I haven't seen the ability to buy replacement DDDy busts, shouldn't Volks release this in case you damage your DDDy (maybe they do and I am not aware)? If they did could I change Sasara's bust?
I see, Kan'u will be difficult to adopt since she was only available in Japan, if that's what you are gunning for, Yahoo Japan Auction is your best bet. She would show up on ebay once in a while but it's usually way overpriced that way.
DDDy body construction is slightly different from that of the DD type II, the pose-ability is different too.

You can find oversize bust piece for DDII but it won't be the same as DDDy. So first you have to determine whether you want Kan'u or just a DDDy normal bust with "any head or wig". You can probably find DDDy body in Yahoo Japan Auction.
I think I will hold out for Kan'u and check Yahoo Japan Auction daily. I just can't see me enjoying my first dollfie unless its her. I'm just afriad once I find her she will be close to $1000 US :P
I like the higher line on the DDDy bust and will sacrifice a little flexibility to have it. I am just more suprised that if you damage your bust or bum on a DDDy you can't buy a replacement part from Volks.

The pose-ability of DDDy is just different but not necessarily less charming. It's true the movement of the legs are more restrictive, but they make up the difference by allowing more twist motion between the bust and torso. See here:
