MG Unicorn Black Wolf
After wasting around 2 months of my time here and there, I have finally finished my latest project being my MG Unicorn Black Wolf. This kit has been quite a pain to assemble but at the same time I'm glad i have completed my Unicorn. I think it turned out alright considering its my 1st time using acrylic paints on the kit. Now its time for me to start on another kit after I oogle at this kit for 1 last time :) Thanks to those who have put up with my crap during my moment building this thing. Hopefully my next project isnt such a pain ^^

Used the Mg Verka Unicorn kit for this build
Paints i used is acrylic Chaos black for the black parts, silver leaf for the psycho frame parts but as for the grey painted parts i forgotten which kinda greys i used.
Used decals from waves instead of the Decals provided in the kit as theyre rub on and stickers and theres just so many of them.
Used Matte/dull top coat to finish up the kit which gives it that grainy look. And i love my kits in matte paint/top coat finish
Any criticism is good criticism for me as i can learn from my mistakes ^^.

Black Wolf coming at cha!

Like how most of my decals turned out. I think the decals from wave does this kit justice. What do you guys think?

Small speck of dust on the thing, i know and this is after i top coated it. I did brush the dust off before applying top coat and after the top coat dried. Need to do something bout my dusty environment.

very nice..:D
unsurprisingly, the black and gray/silver color scheme suits the Unicorn Gundam very well..:D
Good job :D loves the paint xD
Looking mighty smooth and snappy.
Though in case you'd want to make the silver pop-out a bit more, you can try Tamiya's Clear Pearl to top the silver painted parts.
ill definitely look into it. any advice is good advice
Impressive Unicorn Gundam, very well painted, i also hate dustry environments lol
I think everyone does. it can cause lots of issues, and in my case breathing difficulties ( and im suppose to have asthma but it does little to no effect on my condition) Once my parents head off to vietnam, Im gonna do a full clean of my room. need to do something bout my dusty room.
This might not be caused by dusty environment but can be caused by climatic factors such as humidity and temperature.
Might be poor quality primer too.
Light grain sandpaper (grain 700+) makes wonders.
Nevertheless great painting job
Very nice!
very well painted, do you the destroy mod?
its half destroy mode. or incomplete transformation due to faulty nt-d programming xD
messy back ground, very distracting.
sorry bout my backyard. yeah its messy and i dont have a proper backdrop like some people. maybe i should use my brown wall outside the backyard and maybe it would please you. who knows
good job!
The paint finish looks smooth, nice one
very good work. love the details on the top of the pack.
Looks great. What are"decals from waves"? I had a heck of time with water slide decals when I worked on my Unicorn, they just dry up and flake off so fast... but I'm learning, next time I will only do one part at a time and put on a top coat asap.
wave makes these decals. google it up or check on hlj. the variety isnt much but they are awesome. seeing a fellow aussie used these decals on his sinanju, i wanted to try it for myself
Nice interpretation of your UG.
The paint is all black and smooth. If only if I can put my hand inside the monitor to feel tha-
*crash*
Aaaaargh! My monitor! DX
Very impressive work.
I agree with coffee though that you might want to give the silver parts a bit more bling. Overall though the decals are looking mighty sweet and its really GAR.
BTW what happened to the metal decals?
when i got these decals i love them to death. the metal decals i saw seemed tacky and cheap. thank goodness i passed up on it :)
I like how the black grey looks. I think the chaos black spray has a nice carbon feel to it. It suits the Unicorn great. The matt top coat is a good choice. I personally dont like how chaos black looks if it gets a glossy top coat.
i actually really like this colour scheme. good work ! i may have to try something similar since i have my old ver ka. sitting in here in need of a new paint job
by all means, go for it. i used a fellows gunpla idea of a similar destroy mode. but the guy who originally did this sort of destory mode put a lot more hard yakka then i did with my unicorn xD. love to see what you do to your verka
The decals look cool & clean...I mentioned the color paints, it's gun metal colors??
used silver leaf for the destroy mode parts :)
Awesome!!!!
Black & pink would actually go very well on this suit XD if the glow-y bits under the slidey panels were pink... would be AWESOME.
dude i love the decal work!!
Where did you get those decals? They're kick-ass!
lol is that a space wolves transfer i see?
