Hi, I'm Tim, an Australian Otaku interested in Japan and otaku culture.
I have studied Japanese for 6 years through university and self study, and find that Anime and otaku culture serves as the main source of my motivation for my study.
This is my otaku-ish room. I mainly collect bishoujo figures, light novels and manga. As I'm currently into visual novel games and Japanese video games, I am gradually building up a collection of games too. Currently, my favorite game is "Tears to Tiara" for the PS3.
I have over 100 figures in my collection. I don't only collect PVC figures but also build garage kits, and even am attempting to sculpt a full scratch figure. I find the Kotobukiya published "How to make figure" book very helpful.
Apart from figures, I also have a large collection of manga and light novels. I haven't properly counted all of them, but there are probably over 1000 volumes in my collection. I prefer reading the manga in Japanese in the published book form rather than on a PC screen, so I am always import them from Japan.
Considering there are no stores nearby that cater for figures, light novels and manga in Japanese, I almost always obtain my goods through online stores.
I started this collection in 2004, which was the time when I first went to Japan on as an exchange student. Since then, my room has ended up looking like this. (^_^;)
Outside Otaku hobbies, I also enjoy doing Karate and Juijitsu.
I write a blog in Japanese and English.

Manga on shelves! How very neat :D
Thanks! I find it helps motivate me to read all of them when they are on my desk nice and neat wanting to be read :P
Especially with the light novels which take more effort to read.
Wow, amazing Otaku room! Very neat.^^
I moved my manga on shelves today too ><
Dakimakura, bedsheets and pillows as well as posters are in very good taste - high five!
Yay! It seems I'm starting a new trend of putting manga in shelves :P
Or maybe not (^_^;)
Thanks about the comments on the dakimakura, pillows and posters. (^o^)/
Kudos to your many posters... I'm not much of a poster person tho... >,<
I import Megami magazine to keep updated about new anime, and figured that since it came with heaps of posters, they'd would look better on the walls than inside the magazine. (^^;)
Ooo Horo wallcalendar...Don't ask why out of all that it was the thing that stuck out to me the most. >_<
Oh! You just reminded me to change it to this month's picture. :D
Thanks!
Fate on top of a ps3 looks impressive o_O
Yoko posters do want!! :3
I really like the posters too!
I bought those from a local artist at Waicon.

love that vocaloid pillow! XD
That tower of figs looks like if a slight breze blows through a window, it's going down. Lol...
All joking aside, I do really like our room tho.
*your
Haha, yes it does fall down every so often! (^_^;)
Fortunately it falls on my soft bed. :D
Like your room. What stuck out to me the most was the nice Megami posters and Horo calender. Some of those posters I wouldn't mind having myself. Also, I see some figures that are on my want list as well.
Just finished Tears to Tiara myself the other day (eroge version). Nice change to mix rpg and eroge game elements.
Nice, I haven't tried the eroge version yet. I've gotten used to the new character designs for the PS3 version.
I really like the music from the game.
I like the megami posters myself as well.. although some are tearing a bit, so I may need to replace them soon.
Good thing I have a more posters to replace them with.
awesome collection there buddy : )
Thanks!
