Your Imaging Armory
Many of you take brilliant photos and it seems that you is being having some lovely imaging armory that I thought we'd share with each other.
While we get to look at subjects, we hardly get to see each others piece (^^). Tag your armory photos "armory."
Also, it would be good if you can say why you recommend your weapons which would be especially useful for the newbie.
If you only have one camera then maybe take a photo of its reflection in the mirror?

Here is my armory:-
Canon Kiss2
Nikon D5000
Lumix LX3
Sony Webbie MHS-CM1
I still prefer the Kiss2 mainly because I've always had a good macro and wide angle lenses. Been using it to a point whereby I know what settings I need just by the sound of the shutter alone. Probably will take me a while with the Nikon to get to that stage.
The reason why I chose Canon is because I've previously used 3 generations of the IXY and naturally went for the Kiss. Was my first time using an SLR and was shocked that I could not see anything on the preview screen and that I had to look through a view finder ^^;

And the lenses are:-
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm
Sigma 18-200mm
Canon EFS 10-22mm (wide angle)
Canon EFS 60mm (macro)

all i can say is that ur the one who influenence me to get a Camera my first DSLR is Nikon D5000
i might buy more DSLR in the near future But for now im happy with my D5000
Show it to us!
I have a small Samsung digital camera. It Takes really nice pictures but I haven't figured out to change the macro settings so I can Zoom in on objects,so they don't get blurry.
what camera was used to take the first pic?
The old Canon IXY.
Buying a Dslr has always been on my "maybe purchase" list for the longest time already. but never got into it until now , drooling over oly Pen... reminds me of the old school Lecia.. But i might get a Pentax k7 maybe next year or so. Also waiting to see the Lumix GF-1 .. will decide till then.
Currently still using my trusty FujiFilm 6500FD (got it since 2007 june!), a prosumer. So no lens swapping for me :( .
Mines not so much an armory as a single weapon lol.
Currently using Olympus SP570uz .
Planned DSLR in a year time Nikon D90.
I have a Canon Kiss 2 and just bought a Fujifilm J20.
The J20 is an entry level point and shoot. It's most attractive feature is it's size of a credit card and is 1.74cm thick, 10mp, good colors. I'm using the J20 for photo walks. I'm doing a 20km walk next week, so will record the journey.
Mine is pretty simple and old. I like the limitation it gives me though, it's sort of a fun challenge to work out techniques to get the different things I want.
I think I'll upload mine a bit later today. ^^
My sister is going to buy a canon 1000d which i'll be abusing. Muahahaa. I'll post something about it when we get it.
I'm looking forward to this post, I only own a Lumix DMC-fs3 and it is not really special + I don't really know much about photography. But looking at your pictures, I really wanted to learn how to make nice photos, I hope soon I'll be able to make a small photogragy course. I'm sure I'll be able to find a nice camera reading your opinions and not buy the first camera I see and throw my money away (sigh...)
This should be interesting. I wish I still had my DSC-H1 though. It was a fine piece of camera equipment by Sony. Still saving up for the DSC-H20 to take her place though.
All these cameras make mine looks like a puny toy lol
I only have my Canon 450D with a Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro USM lens.
Bought it earlier this year after my Sony point and shoot died on me, decided on the 450D based on reading different reviews and hearing positive comments from friends/colleagues who had one.
I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ-8 but is a hamster compared with Danny's Nikon-Canon monsters.
mine, Nikon D300 + 20mm/2.8f, 24-70/2.8f
Still have an Olympus DSLR, in the process of selling/getting rid of it to upgrade to the wonderful Nikon D90.
I only have a Canon Powershot SD1100IS which is good enough for me but compared to most people's armory its like cloth armor while everyone else has plate mail. XD
Be assured that SD1100IS is a pretty capable little camera that is better is some conditions (like when you do not want people to notice you are making pictures, or when you do not want to haul along 20 lbs of camera gear).
This is the small camera I use to supplement my Canon DSLR.
Esp. if you look into CHDK - the firmware to truly unleash the power of your canon "powershot" ;)

Canon Rebel TS Kit and Sony Cybershot W50 are my aresenal. Along with my -kinsoku jikou- and -kinsoku jikou-, as well as the powerful -kinsoku jikou- and a little elbow grease, I can pretty much do anything I want with regards to photography, mwahaha~

My armoury is bare, i'm clearly not prepared for war. ^^;
But i'm sure i'll shift some of my budget to this cause.
oh so that what Lumix looks like.. I always wondering what it looks like this past few months ^^;;
Ehhh... I don't have anything fancy. ToT
Just a old 4 Megapixel Nikon point & shoot that takes really nice outdoor, natural light pics.
Probably the reason I don't often do shoots.
My current setup
Canon EOS 450D, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-f5.6 IS, Canon EF 50mm f1.8, Canon EF 70-200mm f4L IS USM and a 580EXII.
I have been contemplating on switching to a Nikon though due to several reasons haha.
I have an old Canon A200, and just a few weeks ago, a LX3. I really love it! Im not very into reflex right now... a little expensive around here.
recently, at last, i upgraded from a 4.0MP kodak to a 10.0 MP Canon Powershot SD790 IS. It takes some great pictures! only thing that has got me is the noise in the low light pictures without flash, but if you manage to conquer it, is a great tool!
I sold my Canon PowerShot G9 for the Lumix LX3 when it debuted. My LX3 is also fitted with the Ricoh LC-1 lens cap as seen in Danny's lineup pic. Very star warsy when the flaps open and close :D
It's the best cam I've ever had, particularly overwhelmed by its F2.0 aperture.. great DOP and low light performance for a compact!
With the LX3, you're really owning a Leica D-LUX 4 at a Panasonic price.
Been thinking about switching to DSLR but still can't get over its size and weight. Have also tried out the micro four-thirds Olympus E-P1 but didn't like it (poor screen display/no flash on body/expensive). It's only a matter of time when compacts will achieve the standards of DSLR. Till then, I'm contented with the LX3!
Only one, Sanyo Xacti ><
