My physical desk is a total rip-off of Danny's, but past the desk hardware, it's my own setup. I've wanted a glass desk for years anyway, and have only been reading dannychoo.com for maybe 6 months. I made some money in January doing a pro photography gig in Kansas, so I decided to spring for a new desk.

My desk. The print is named "Dreaming of Immortality in a Thatched Cottage" by T'ang Yin.

My main work area, which in my apartment, is in my bedroom.

My main work area, view number 2. I love how my computer seems to float over my desktop (I have a small stand underneath it). ^_^

The desk from another angle. I have my TV angled so I can watch it while at my desk. It used to be my computer monitor too, back in 2006.

My desk, as it is when I sit at it. I pull up the lamp you see if I need to light something I'm working on. Usually I keep it out of the way.

Yui keeps me company all day—she’s very pleasant to be around. She even stands between my screens so as to not block my view! ^^;

My Doomsday Device. Don't worry—the key(s) are unlabeled, far away from the actual device. On a side note, it is also a 4-port USB 2.0 hub—handy! (Purchased from ThinkGeek.) It lives behind the pencil cup.

I have five external hard drives. Yes, five. O.O; The black Western Digital is a 1TB drive, and houses most of my junk (photos, anime, movies, etc.). The large silver WD (1TB) is my Time Machine drive, connecting via FireWire 800 for speedy backups. The small silver WD (500GB) is currently used as a backup for my own photography. There is also a metal iOmega drive (1.5TB) under my desk—I use that to back up the black WD, since I only have those files in one place otherwise (not pictured).

My fifth HDD is a WD My Passport Elite (640GB) that I got on sale about 2 weeks ago. It replaces the silver WD from before as my portable drive that I bring with Tori (my Mac) when we travel. As you can see, it hides behind the picture frame.

My primary bookcase (I have a few ^^; ). I decided to just show this one since this is not about rooms, and showing the rest would involve more of a room tour. Just got the EVA 01 on the left at Kami-Con—really a NICE figure, with tons of articulation and interchangeable bits.

I also have a chair in the corner with a reading lamp that I can use when studying or doing other sorts of work involving mostly reading. Note the Lucky Star girls on the right.

There's me! Thanks for reading my long-winded descriptions. ^^;;;

External Drives cuz interiors are always to small
I really dig your setup. Very nice. I like the idea of the reading chair in the corner.
Neat stuff! Where did you get this?
The Doomsday device USB hub comes from ThinkGeek. http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/accessories/9116/ The price seems to have gone up since I got mine, thought... >_<;
A DOOMSDAY DEVICE!!! omg I got to get me one of these Mwuahahahahahaha...
Very comfy corner... I need a bigger room... >,<
Mhmm i know its a weird question.. but since i keep on seeing it..
where does your desk come from?
other than that! nice workspace ^^
The glass desktop and the supports (legs?) are separate pieces, and all have to be bought individually. They all come from IKEA though, so go nuts! Actually, the lights under the desk come from IEKA too. Do you have IKEA in Singapore? O_o;
Nice reading corner. I think I might end up sleeping there though. LOL <3 your lamps, btw. ^^
Love the tranquility!
I love that USB hub. I need to get one.
Really nice workspace you have. Very neat.
usually take this one on long trips, always funny ;)
uham, bacardi spotted =P
So awesome O_O A little too expensive for my tastes though ^^:
So jealous OTL
Nice set up. I see that you have the same type of desk that Danny Choo has.
