Morgan's 0-Budget Armory
So, I'm here to prove that you don't need to be rich to be able to snap at least decent photos.
I'm a person that likes to have a good challenge. I like having limitations, it's sort of a fun challenge to work out techniques to get the different things that I want.
Also another very big reason; I don't really have that much extra cash. Any extra cash that I do have after paying all my bills and living costs goes towards my number one love of various collections. Photography is just a random little "other" hobby of mine so I prefer to add to my collections instead. ^^
Anyway, my camera? [Insert awful, cliché MySpace/Facebook style mirror photo here]...

You know, it's surprisingly VERY difficult to take photos in a mirror, especially when you have a helmet on... and it's boiling hot weather... and it's getting dark...
But hey, I have to hide my identity. Giant mecha battles in the middle of cities create a lot of collateral damage, you know. :p
Here. Have a stock photo of my trusted sidearm instead XD...

Yeah, that's it. A Samsung Digimax A7. A cheap, normal compact digital camera. 7 megapixels, 3x optical zoom... It's pretty freaking basic in every way. I think it was around £150/$250 back when I originally bought it many years ago, but you can find it for around £30/$50 now, I believe.
Like I said earlier, it's fun to have a little challenge. I like the little limitations and eccentricities that it has. The little things that I have to work around - or more importantly - work WITH.
Even when you're on a very limited budget, with enough playing and practising, you can make things work to your advantage. ^_^ For example:

Or if you'd like, a few more random photo examples from my deviantART (click the thumbs): 1, 2, 3, 4.
So at the end of the day, I personally don't think that it's the end of the world if you're on a budget and can't afford a great camera. As long as you have --FUN-- with what you do, that's all that matters. ^_^
(Now, don't be mean and laugh at me XD )

Your Photos are realy nice.
Like the one´s with Yoshi ^^
Thanks, Stary ^^
Those photos are indeed quite nice and they show that it can be done with a point and shoot as well. ^^
Some say it's 90% photographer and 10% camera.
Great "punchy" color in the first picture. Was there any post-processing involved other than adding a border?
Thanks ^^ Just a little. One-click noise-removal and brightness/contrast if I remember correctly. Nothing super special.
I love your photography btw, you've got a lot of talent there. ^^
Thanks for the compliment. ^^
I am always interested in what other photographers use for their cameras, post-processing techniques, lighting, etc.
