Pre-Mother's Day Dinner
What do you usually do to celebrate Mother’s Day? Do you go out with your family and have a nice meal somewhere? I have never been a big fan of commercial holiday (Hallmark Holiday), but it doesn’t hurt to go out with family to eat once in a while. However, I for one have been tired of that Mother’s Day rush and have been going on the day before to beat the crowd. Today, we went to a Chinese buffet restaurant that served pretty good food for about $15 a person, including Lobster and other amazing food!
A photo taken when we were leaving the restaurant, good thing we got there like really early since there is a line inside the buffet… have you ever seen people lining up for a Chinese buffet? Here is one that’s worth waiting for!
Here is that fried lobster I talked about earlier, every 15 minutes or so they would bring out a tray full of them and you got to get in line to pick one of these up.
A full size crab, not the tiny little Blue Crab! Very fresh tasting meat too!
Here is a special one, never heard of this dish before, a giant clam topped with some Chinese vermicelli, Chinese black bean and soy sauce. The vermicelli absorbed the flavor of the clam meat, vermicelli and black bean, very tasty!
There are many other amazing dishes (something a real Chinese would eat), a full sushi bar, and a Mongolian style make to order counter as well! But I was too busy stuffing my face to take photo of everything….
And for a party of 5, I paid only $73.56! For all of the quality food they serve there, no wonder there is a line!
For those of you who dwell in Illinois like I do, you should really give this buffet a shot. I give it my seal of approval!

Yeah took my mom out to Applebees for Dinner this evening for Mother's day, since I'll be unconscious on the actual day. Like you I prefer to beat the crowd.
I'm just glad, I don't have five people to take out with me. ^_^ Though that bill for five is amazing, thats a good price.

It's a bit messy to take my girls out today, but will do that next week at Acen! Which I call Daughter's Day!
Whoa! A buffet with lobsters and crabs under $15?? That's crazy!! I doubt there's anything like that here... We plan on taking our mom to a dim sum brunch... next week since she's busy this week ^^;

I have never seen a Chinese buffet quite like this one, this is several magnitude better than anything I have seen before at a price that's too good to be true!
I had to work the day before Mother's Day, but she went out to an Indian Casino with my Dad. I'll be taking her to a Japanese Buffet on Mother's Day.

^_^ That's a nice buffet. As for me, I hope my mom gets off of work early today so I can take her to our favorite Japanese restauarant. They have a 50% deal on all mother's entrees.
