Poor Lacus had her hair broken off!!!

Posted by Syth

So I recently bought a Lacus Clyne and she was brand new, but when i opened her box!

I'm considering two things on how to repair her =(
1. Glue
2. Take a pin, make a hole in both the hair and the back of her head stick in a toothpick/small metal rod and keep it like that

option #2 sucks imo but i can't find a glue that adheres well for #1

Mouseover = load notes.

SHE LIVES! HER BEST FRIEND IS KRAZY GLUE!
btw for anyone doing this in the future, krazy glue dissolves the paint >.>
only slightly but it still does

i stuck red playdough underneath it to make the base stop wobbling cause the base is just cheap plastic =(

How about combining 1 and 2 except using 2 pins spaced apart?

I think a rod is definitely the way to go. do you have a pin vise? It is a little hand held drill that you spin with your fingertips to make a small hole? That would really be the best way to get a precise hole to get a rod in there with a minimum of damage.

Just did that same thing. Not only did it fix it, but it feels more secure now with the metal rod in place of the plastic one. A dab of super glue and your all set.

    Super glue = BAD
    Gorilla glue = GOOD

Gorilla glue is clear, 10x stronger then super glue, doesn't get yucky over time with funky white residue. I spilled some on my kitchen counter years ago and it's never come off and is still clear and perfect as ever. Not even a little has stripped away.

Yeah I also recommend Gorilla glue. Even a small dab should do it. Just be careful with it- it's super strong stuff!

    thanks for all the advice,
i went to 3 different arts/crafts stores and none had those 1.5mm drills, epoxies or gorilla glue

i could have tried home depot but i decided to go asian on it and just use krazy glue and after 5 minutes of holding onto it to the point where my finger cramped, SHE LIVES! thanks again guys

+1 on the gorilla glue. however, dont apply too much because that stuff foams and expands. If you use too much, itll be a pain in the arse to clean.

Wow... I had the EXACT same problem. I tried gluing it, but it wasn't strong enough, so I asked an anime figure shop employee to see if he can fix it. He drilled the head a little and added a metal pin and it works fine.
