Marvin's Vintage Figures
some of my old vintage figures, the oldest of which is Belldandy. wasn't into figure collecting when I first got this figure, but was a a fan of the old anime series. I remember when I first got this figure, I was baffled on how they could sell a toy like this that did absolutely nothing but stay in one pose and be pretty. ^^; it was nothing like the Transformer or G.I. Joe toys i used to play with.
the next figure I would buy would come in years later. had always been a fan of the love hina series, but didn't know about figure collecting up until I stumbled upon DannyChoo.com. I remember seeing this beautiful Naru Narusegawa figure on one of Danny's post and thought to myself. I want one as well! luckily I found one at a hobby store and happily made my first figure purchase as a collector. ^^
the third figure I got was Aya Natsume. another figure I found via one of Danny's old post. really wanted one at the time, but unfortunately it was sold out everywhere. that's when my girlfriend then (now my wife), somehow managed to find one and gave it to me for my birthday. ^^
dug up some old photos from my blog. the Belldandy figure would probably be the oldest toy in the house. and would predate any of my gundams.
sexy Naru Narusegawa by Max Factory. I believe it is based on a Love Hina movie or episode. not sure anymore, haven't watch the anime in ages. ^^;

Aya Natsume from Tengo Tenge, highly sought after during it's time. I believe it's made by Bome.
I wonder what sort of camera I used for these images. given that it's a really old release It's probably a sony cybershot.
there's also a black hair version of this particular Aya figure. I think her hair was back in the manga but orange in the anime series.

I think the figure was re-released some time ago. I'm not sure when though
Ha! My wife also wants this. Do you happen to know more about possible re-release, because I cannot find anything.
there was a guy who posted it on Danny's member news a while back. but that was a very long time ago. I'm not sure if they will do another re-release anytime soon though.
The Naru figure is somewhat based on the episodes/chapters (Spring OVA for the anime) when Naru gets stranded on the Turtle Island with Keitaro and Nyamo, Nyamo being the native girl. I'd give you the name of the island but it's some ridiculous name that goes something like Para-laka-something-klese. ^^;
In any case, as can be expected, her clothing gets wet/dirtied/damaged/otherwise unwearable and she finds a leaf bikini substitute. She never wears her actual clothes on top of them though.
ah yes, now I remember those flying sea turtles. ^^;;;
Lots of great old figures, but especially Naru! Definitely one of the nicest looking figures ever.
