According to the back-story I created for her, Yumiko was called "Daria" growing up, because she was brainy and sarcastic. She's still brainy and sarcastic. She still loves the show. And she's getting the cosplay together. Plenty of reference material in the new DVD set! MTV Home Video was good enough to put the whole series, including the two TV movies, into a set that is "street priced" less than $50. I don't know when Paramount will put this out in other regions, but it's out now in Region 1, US and Canada.

That's the idea. Also I wish I could find a pair of glasses for her that are a closer match. The jacket will likely either be homemade or commissioned. Since I suck at sewing a commission would prolly be more successful.
Glad I'm not the only one who loved this show. My copy arrived along with the Invader Zim Box Sets yesterday.
I only managed to get the Daria movies, but I really enjoyed the series when it lasted. For some reason she reminds me of that girl from Beavis and Butthead. That'd be pretty awesome if you can find the clothes to make her into Daria :D
an awesome series....i really miss watching this. i should prolly pick it up sometime soon =P maybe in june.
Just got my boxset of this in the mail yesterday too <3 I literally started tearing up out of joy back when I'd originally read the news that it was finally getting a DVD release.
