There's Something About Mari...
こんにちは!
My much-awaited Frauline Mari Illustrious arrived a week ago, but I did not get the chance to open her due to work, work, work. ^_^;
Here are some pics of the new Eva femme fatale. I'm beginning to like her character more and more ever since her debut.
(There are actually three Mari figurines in the post... one was unintentionally included. :D)

Puchi (petite) Mari overseeing her bigger sister's unpacking.

"Get that light out of my face!"
She comes with a lot of alternate hands, and two (2) faces, along with a case for them all.

Like all Fraulines, her legs are quite wobbly, but hey, they get used to it. :P

There... looking cute, and patting off the dust. ^^

I still don't like the plain stand that Revoltech figures come with. It's so difficult to position the pose. I tried to put her in a playful pose.

"Playful pose, you say?!"
The dark, serious, and manic side of her can be very freaky-scary.
Replacing the green circle on her chest was a bit difficult, since the part is so small.

But there's something about her tsundere qualities that are appealing, 'no? ^_^

I really like this figure of Mari. Will most likely get this one as well. Also wondering if there will be a Figma counter part..
I believe they revealed the figma Evangelion figures during wonderfest 2010 heres a link if your interested in seeing how they look http://forum.evageeks.org/viewtopic.php?t=8602&sid=d51dbbb6dab4b97015ab7e2795444c12
Hey, cool, didn't know about the Figmas. Thanks for the update. ^^
Thanks for that link. I guess Ill get the Revo to hold me over till I can Find the Figma version :]
Never was that big of the revoltech female figure line because they always seemed a bit off 2 me but Mari actually came out pretty good. It's a shame tho that revoltech will not drop that awful looking joint in the back upper thigh area granted I never pose my figures where it will really show that but when you do pose them for photos it's a bit distracting.
I have to agree with legs, not just the upper thigh joint. They do tend to look off, not to mention hard to pose. But I really love the overall "form" or "build" (for lack of a better term) of the Fraulines. Somehow, they look more feminine and shapely to me than Figmas. Don't get me wrong, I like my Figmas too. ^^
Not interested in Mari ,but HER.....^ ^
