Can anyone identify this Volks Dollfie Dream outfit?
I call this Yumiko's Alice ouftit. It does look like an Alice cosplay, albeit reversed from the traditional "blue dress with white pinafore" color scheme. This is why you see her with her white bun-bun plushy. However, it's some sort of maido/waitress outfit. This was the outfit I got when I adopted Yumiko from my friend Chad. I know it's from Volks. The white platform mary jane shoes are part of the outfit, and instead of wearing socks in most of my photos she's wearing her body stocking, giving her the "white hosiery" look with it. Now she wears thigh-highs with it when she wears it, which looks quite smexy.
Anyone got details about this outfit? It's nice to know the background on her Volks outfits, considering they are so pricey and that Volks tends to give tons of detail with each.

definantly my favorite look for yumiko! then again i love alice in wonderland so...XD
nice pics! (yay strawberry pocky)
Nice to know my vinyl friends have fans. She does like Pocky. And I don't want the guys here getting the wrong idea...that IS Strawberry Pocky.
Another detail...the car in pic #82817 is a sapphire blue Corvette. If you look closely, that's my cousin Brad at the wheel. I love the reflections of the palm trees in the window. This pic is SO L.A.
This outfit set was sold at Dolpa 4 Osaka (8-12-2007) as a Sumika item. It came in either blue or pink. I have the pink one. I can't read the Japanese to tell you what Volks calls the outfit set, but here are the links:

This was also the Dolpa in which Feena and Estel were released.
^^ i think i found it
http://store.volksusa.com/ofkor090702.html <---- it's very pretty, especially on your Yumiko
OK, as is typical with the clothes I got from Chad (the person Yumiko formerly owned) there were pieces missing from my set. I didn't get the headdress, I didn't get the neck ribbon, and I got a petticoat instead of bloomers. I got the shoes, though. And I do have an unrelated pair of bloomers for her...not quite pumpkin bloomers but nice. And the piece de resistance, IMHO, and what's missing from the outfit as Volks put it out was thigh-highs. Those make this outfit look really nice. I want to find a pair with little baby blue ribbons on them to go with this. I'll make sure I bring this outfit with me to Anime Expo.
I think the blue outfit set comes with a petticoat and the pink one has bloomers. Volks usually incorporates subtle differences when releasing two similar outfits at the same time. They both have the same headdress. The neck ribbons match the color of the outfit.
Ugh. So I guess the headpiece did get lost, totally forgot about it. We're still hunting for pieces of outfits that went missing from her original owner. Doesn't help the fact he moved/hastily packed some of it so a lot of stuff is missing.
Thanks for all the good info about this. It's nice to have back info on the outfits as they are as unique as the dolls and usually scary pricey. I've lucked out in that I have managed to find some Volks outfits out there in cyberspace -- usually from Den of Angels Marketplace -- that have turned out to be killer deals.
BTW folks: going to be involved with two panels at Anime Expo this year in LA: one will be about podcasting, the other about photography. Both are on Sunday, podcasting at 9am, (Yeah I know, freaking early!!!) photography at Noon. (I know people are going to be checking out of hotels at that time.) The main panelist is Donald Burr of Otaku no Podcast fame. I will bring my vinyl friends to both events. They insisted. And you know THEY MUST BE OBEYED!
Nice Shades.
Actually Zetto has those shades now. She's now got a pair that's a bit more feminine.
Wait, that wasn't phrased right, was it?
