Nendo/Figma Tales: iPad Get?
For a long time, i have looking for a device that could be the wireless remote to my network. Researching from tablet PCs to HTC and then i found the iPhone. The iPhone to me ended up being a wireless keyboard/mouse, remote desktop access, universal remote, anime storage (converting then synching) .. then i found out about this application! Called the Air Video!
Tech tools like normal tools, has the one flaw like everything else in the world. The user! If the user does not use the tool to its fullest potential, then that tool is really useless!
I run a file server of animes and otaku stuff in my home sharing with couple of housemates, and fellow otakus who also happen to be in the area. Sure .. LAN gaming and all that is the basic baby stuff of a network usage. But what if you used that network (with my secure otaku random passwords >.<) and turned ur iPad into a universal video streaming, remote that controls everything with a wifi/bluetooth connection? Even remoting in from a 3G connection (which is heck expensive and suicidal in Australia) which i dont do at all.
Everyone uses the iPhone/iPad differently. The types of people?
- Tech savvy tech geeks who uses all the features of the internet (twitter/facebook/organizer)
- The organizers (emails, personal calender/meetings, just business)
- The Facebookers (the zombie worshippers of Facebook)
- The Gamers who think they can game (downloading as many games on the iPhone and thinking they are high tech)
- .. etc etc
What do u use ur iPad for?
Me? Keeping OSTs, Anime/Movies, Remote Access, Remote Wireless Keyboard+Mouse with Multimedia remote features, Personal Organizer, Emails, Pictures .. and most importantly .. Streaming MKV packaged Anime on it LIVE from my file server! Propaganda promoting! Huuu huuu huuu *evil grin*
Posting how i do that at Unlimited Otaku Works. But until i make a video blog on how i use the iPad with an otaku factor, pls enjoy this pics!

Finally arrived!

The giant sized version of the iPhone minus the phone features (still has skype)

With 64GBs of space, what can u put in it?

Synching it to my computer, but it took the settings of my iPhone, which was a no-no. Because it copied all my hand carried anime and OSTs as well. It took forever~~~!

Becoming the 3rd monitor to my workspace =)

One of my favourite iPhone finger games actually worked on the iPad .. Dance Dance Revolution! For the figmas and nendos!

Not getting the iPad, but sure is cool for Drossel to be playing DDR on it ^^
Haha, love this, DDR for figma!
