I managed to invade my younger brother's bedroom and made it into my workspace –he likes to sleep on the sofa downstairs ( I don’t know why). I divided it into three areas to accommodate my various hobbies.
First area: Cosplay. It's basically where I stitch together costumes for my sister (and recently mine). I don't do costume patterns in the usually dressmaker way; I “sculpt” them.
Second area: Painting. I used this area non-stop for 3 whole months just so I can finish my twenty paintings in time for my Solo Exhibit, in order for me to get my degree. I now do paintings for commissions or gifts.
Third area: Everything Else. It's here that I read, do research, write stories, draw sketches and, as the area's name says, everything else.
P.S. Sorry for the grainy pictures. I still need a job to buy a better camera. hahaha

the sewing machine also acts as a table if i don't have any sewing to do.

mini battle plan and to-do list for our planned cosplay.

currently doing this painting. i'm still doing the under-painting. hehe

the ironing board is used for flattening seams and doubles as my table.

these are those books i couldn't fit inside the small cabinet.

even with the laptop, i still want to actually write down things.

this is where i keep the stuff i need for my oil paintings. i purposely separated them from the others because i use them more often. :D

the top drawer has in it the bond papers i use for printing.

the middle drawer contains my sewing materials like the different kinds of cloth and some knitting yarn and needles for my current cosplay project.

the bottom-most drawer contains all the artsy stuff.

I love the smell of oil paints... but probably bad for me & I was never good with them anyway... every thing turned brown when I mix ;)
it's the same with me a few years back (both with the smell and every mixture turning brown) but i got used to it (with the occasional headaches) and the key to color mixing is NOT to mix them that much. haha
I took one class on oil painting in collage, but their was no instructions... the teacher just sat at her desk and was no help :( I'm use to watercolors from college, then I went to private design school and only use inks and markers. Well and Mac :)
same with ours! although we don't have any desks for teachers. they just usually show up, take our attendance and then go to the canteen and eat. but they sometimes grow a conscience when they think they're lagging behind on their job. at that time they just stay inside our dungeon of a classroom for a couple of minutes and then leave again. but they give tips though when you ask for it. :))
Iron Girl!!!
I love Anne Rice!
