My day at Fanimecon 2010
For those who don’t know Fanimecon is a anime convention held in San Jose California once a year. I was lucky enough to get one day off for this event tho I wish I was able to go at least 2days because one day just seemed to not be as satisfying as I would of thought and for the fact I missed FLOW:( because they didn’t start the concert till pretty late and the friends I went with wanted to leave early because they work earlier than I had to the next day. But nonetheless it was still a great experience and I had a lot more fun this year at Fanimecon than I did last year.
Anyways here are some photos I took at the convention. Oh and feel free to correct me on any cosplayers I might have mistaken as other characters or if I don’t know which series the cosplay is from. Oh and if you are one of the people in the pictures please let me know as well as if you are one of them and want a picture of yourself removed I will do asap upon request. Anyways Enjoy^^.

Dude, you were there the day flow was but left early because your friends worked early ? Dude, I woulda smacked them and told them to man it up in the morning with an energy drink. You won't exactly be blessed with stateside flow concerts often in the future.
I didn't even know flow was going to be there till Saturday night. I would have pulled strings to get Friday night off for just that show.
Tell me about it I try not to think about missing it but what could I do my friend drove us tho now I wish I drove myself. I should of done that but they aren't huge convention people and apparently 10hrs there was to much for them I might have to go next time with some hardcore anime convention nuts like myself next time. As for me I was only running on 3hrs of sleep but still had energy to last till midnight if only I didn't live that far from it I would of told them to just go without me.

Well I suppose I should say that because I mean I still had a lot of fun and I did get to go with my friends so I am still happy but it sucks that I missed the FLOW concert. I guess I'll have to browse through youtube now to see what I missed. That sucks you didn't get to go:/ but hope you feel better and at least you still have AX/Sac Anime left amongst other smaller conventions.
I wish I could attend AX but everyone that has any interest in anime start summer classes the week before it so I would just end up going by myself tho I wouldn't mind to much tho it's more fun with friends. Well hope you have fun when you go^^.

And Remember, Yoko Kano will POSSIBLY be there. At least one would think so. Who else could this mystery guest performer be on a May'n+ Nakajima duet. If it ends up being something like "the guy who played trumpet at the Budokan performance" I will be extremely upset and heart broken, and will likely riot. AFTER the show of course. I'd be too entranced by May'n to do otherwise. No offense to the trumpet player(s). They did a great job. It's just you know, Yoko Kano is way more of an awesome experience for Otaku like myself.

Yea thats one of my favorite things about going to conventions like this is seeing all the people cosplaying as their favorite characters with such passion as well as having a strong will to keep posing for people who want to take their pictures.
It makes me want to cosplay one of these days^_^.

Oh yea lol your booth was the one near the corner with a bunch of nendoroids amongst other figures rights? I was really tempted to buy the other one you had but sadly I ran out of cash by the time I realized I should of bought it.

Yeah, we were the booth in the back corner with the figures/nendos out on display. It's really easy to run out of cash at a con. :/

I feel you man. I totally missed out the S.K.I.N. concert at Long Beach Arena for AX2007. It really sucks when you miss those opportunity at a reach of hand. But I'm not going to have any interference with the upcoming AX. But hey, it seems like you had fun out there, and nice photos too! I wish I were there.
Yea it sucks but oh well I was able go with some of my good friends so I can't complain to much. Maybe I'll get another chance one day to see them or another one of my favorite J-bands.
hahaha! i saw those guys on their way into the con on like friday i think. they stopped in front of some crazy street preacher. he was like "don't pay attention to them, bla bla bla" but everyone was like loltetris
