I just got this from Mandarake about a month ago just in case I lost the May Dolpa event contest but since I have won the Sakura DD event, my budget won't allow me to sustain both DD. Fate-chan is still in her factory sealed condition. But I can only send her to a parent that I know will take care of her for good. I'm still not sure if I can give it up yet but it's either Sakura or Fate T_T
Anyways it wasn't an easy road to purchase her, I had to try yahoo japan auction thru the deputy service of JapanToDoor but I lost the auction and had to incur fees of about $100 to transfer money from paypal and back again. Luckily I was able to spot Fate on Mandarake for 95,000 yen not including shipping. Overall I spend about $1250 USD on it including the $100 wasted for nothing T_T

I got them about a few weeks ago but they are discontinued now, don't worry that delicious coffee last a very long time ^_^

Lol, okay, just wondering. I guess once she was split she wouldn't exactly be Fate anymore, though she'd surely be reincarnated as someone new!

Damn a Feito DD that's within 200 miles of where I live. XD If I had the spare budget I would seriously consider it.
How did you incur a fee though? Usually isn't it that you win the auction and the deputy service bill you before you send any money over?
you gotta use paypal to put money into your choice of deputy service, which paypal has a money transfer fee I believe was like 4.5% or something, then when you lose the auction you gotta pay the same fee to transfer it back to paypal >_< that really pisses me off ! even if you win the auction you still gotta pay off several different fees before it can ship and after that there's the possibly the customs duty fee which you have to pay when you receive the item, which they give you no notice what so ever. I got charged a customs duty fee for a $200 figure and they didn't even tell me to pay it until I got a surprised bill in the mail by FEDex a month after I got my item. You go ask those guys who have won auctions from yahoo Japan and they're tell you that the fees ain't pretty !
I'm was just surprised. The deputy service that I use just bills you after you won the auction. Only then do I send any money. They do keep a deposit though but it's a reasonable amount depending on how much you gonna spend basically.
Custom charges for stuff going into the US? Never had that happen before.
Custom charges can sometime happens when you buying things overseas that are above couple hundreds range and if the seller don't mark your package as a "gift" and lower the item's "value" .

Gah! $1250! The prices for DDs are simply exorbitant. I feel great respect for those who own a DD and am simply in awe at those who collect DDs on a regular basis. Figmas, PVC Figures and 1/6 scale dolls are breaking the bank as it is... (^.^;)
