Pegasus Genealogical Gold

This Myth Cloth was released back in 2008 by Bandai as a commemorative piece of the lineup, which had sold by that moment over 3 million figures all over the world. While many complained that this was a mere repaint of Seiya, the fact that it is coated with real 18k gold (chemically confirmed by some dude in the SaintSeiyaGallery forum) created an appeal it was hard to resist. Even more so when it was announced that only 20,000 pieces were made.

It is curious to note that this golden version of the Pegasus V3 Bronze Cloth is exclusively from the anime: In the last moments of the final OVA of the Chapter Sanctuary of the Hades saga, Wyvern Rhadamanthys manages to defeat Seiya, Shiryu, Hyoga and Shun with his “Greatest Caution” attack, nevertheless, Seiya stood up again, determined to fight against the Specter to the end. The Judge of Hell was surprised when Seiya finally scored a hit on his Surplice and even more so when his Cosmo burned so bright that his Cloth turned gold, giving Pegasus the strength to match the Wyvern and send both to the Underworld through the pit in Hades’ castle.
