Good Smile Company Saber
As some of you may know Saber is my favourite character. For those not familiar with her, she is from the Fate/Stay Night series by Type-Moon.
This particular figure is not too old but also not a recently release. She’s been out for a while and I managed to luckily pick her up at Anime Festival Asia 2009. She’s not the greatest or most detailed figure but she does have some worthy points about her.

I love her aggressive pose, most Saber figures have her standing in a non aggressive manner which makes this one unique.

I love the floral pattern on her chest piece, its not the most detailed but it is certainly done well.

From certain angles Saber arm can appear overly twisted.

Her facial expressions seems kind wrong, I figured it would be more of a yelling or screaming face since she seems to do a lot in the anime.

The certainly did a good job on Excalibur and on her gauntlet. Nothing spectacular though.

Her battle garments and plating is pretty simple. Once again done pretty well, nothing fancy. Sometimes simple is good, to fancy or detailed gives it a higher chance of error in the paint job.

Nothing special on her back, her hair is pretty plain might I add.

Hmm, you may be wondering I even bought this. Well, like I said before she IS my favourite character, but besides the obvious, the aggressive pose and I suppose the simplicity is what attracted me to this specific figure. There is such thing as too simple but in this case I don’t think this figure has crossed that line.
Regardless I was happy to add this to my collection, I couldn’t be happier to have picked this up at normal price even though it was long sold at the present time of purchase.
The original post being defend by Saber here.

Back several years ago, Clayz used to produced best looking Saber PVC figures aside from the fact they all have T System's signatured face sculpt.
But now GSC pretty much dominates any Fate related lineup, with Alter coming in second.
Yeah GSC has come a long way from what it use to be. Hmm both GSC and Alter are on par in terms of Saber figures for me, i mean i guess its more of loyalty or preference to either company but im happy with what both companies are coming out with so there is really no favoritism from me at the moment.
Heeeeey, I have this one! Amazing figure. Too fecking wide though, and the sword sticks RIGHT out at a straight angle. Good jod nendoroids are small enough to go under the blade and not get decapitated.
yeah, her arm sticks out the back like no tomorrow, plus the base is wide in the other direction so the entire figure may not look like it requires a lot of space but it actually does.
I see this as Cartoon Alteration of the Saber we know and love - that would explain the seemingly over-twisted arm and akward face. It's a very very nice figure in my opinion. You're lucky. ^___^
Yeah this specific figure is pretty comical compared to the other figures we know of Saber. I mean the lack of overall detail and general pose kind shows it all. Although it lacks beauty and tranquility the other figures possess I still think its a fairly worthy figure.
I got to be honest, if I wasn't a Saber nut I probably wouldn't have got this figure.
This was I think one of my 1st Saber figure beside Kotobukiya's Saber. Back then there wasn't exactly a lot of option so I remember I love the pose lol.
Yeah back then there wasn't as much variety to choose from compared to the variety we have today. Probably one of the best poses back then too. I should do a Saber figure evolution chart through the entire years of each figure release :P
