Rin In School: The New Camera
First off, thanks to everyone who responded in my previous post. Was able to make my decision and get my first camera on Thursday. I ended up going with the Nikon D5000. Everyone, except for one person, was a Nikon shooter at the local camera shop. My uncle, who shoots professionally, is also a Nikon shooter. So with the recommendations I got and with all the directions pointing to Nikon, I went with the D5000. I also got a lens filter to protect the lens. I made sure not to cheap out on the filter since it would affect the quality of the shots.
My first shoot was with Rin. I made mistake of shooting first and learning after. I shot a couple in auto mode and a couple in aperture priority mode. It was only after I ate that I fooled around and learnt the camera so I could shoot in manual mode. For Rin, I decided to undress her from her casual clothing and get her into her school uniform.
Not only was this my first shoot with my new camera, but it's also my first shoot that I did some posing and creative thinking. Let me know what you think. :)

Thanks.
Hehe cute school photoshoot :D
Congrats on the new camera, very nice~
Thank-you :)
Congrats on your new camera. Probably have to get a DSLR for myself...
Thanks. You definitely should go for a DSLR when you get the chance. I've only played with it for a little bit, but I can already tell it's 100x better than the Point and Shoot I used to use.
Rin is lovely. And congrats on your new camera
Thanks!
Very good pics, only one advise....on the first shoot you used the flash light, next time don't use it, you can see it on the pic^_^
Thanks for the advice. I'm not sure if I turned it off during the other pictures, but I do remember the flash firing at least once. I had it on the auto mode instead of the auto mode with flash disabled. Had to disable flash manually before realizing later in the day that there's a auto mode with no flash. :)
I had two lamps going, but I guess the camera thought they weren't sufficient enough. :p
nice photos. Rin's list is pretty funny.
Thanks! :)
Heheh, cute pics. I love Rin's list xD
Thanks!
