Little Tokyo 1
I haven't been to Little Tokyo in a very long time. Last time I was here, it was probably almost 2 years ago. I use come here all the time, until I became familiar with West Los Angeles, and Torrance. If you didn't know, Little Tokyo is located in Downtown Los Angeles, which is far from where I live. West Los Angeles and Torrance are a lot closer to me. I'll blog about those areas when I go there. Today I start you off with Little Tokyo 1, because there will be more later. After my 2010 Japan Trip, I was motivated to do the same style blogging concept here in California. Why not right? California has cool places too! ^_^

cool! looks like a neat place to shop and eat ^o^
It is, have you been?
no >< but I really want to ^__^
My second home.
Kare raisu...but from where? Doesn't look like Curry House...is it from there or somewhere else? I LIKE Curry House, though. Yes, House Products runs this chain, but this is definitely NOT like the stuff you make with a block of curry roux.
It's Curry house! Keema Curry! ^_^
Num num delicious. Actually I had some homemade kare raisu tonight...last of a batch I made with chicken breast and tons of veggies. I tend to put more veggies in my curry than most restaurants do. I have found one packaged roux that is to my taste: S&B Golden Curry Extra Hot. It needs garlic but the chili level is just right. I don't like hardboiled or softboiled eggs so I never go that route.
Marukai pwns. I usually bring an insulated bag so I can bring stuffs home on the Red Line.
I thought I was the only one, lol!
Interesting, If I ever head west, I'll look for it.
Yes, come out West here and visit us!! We're friendly here in LA.
Is this Nijiya?
Marukai.
I looked on your site and saw as much. Somehow or another that case looked like the one on the wall at Nijiya Little Tokyo.
Little Tokyo is going to be one of the places I'll visit when I'm in LA next month. :)
You should!
Yeah, fun place, good times.
It would be nice to meet you both. :)
Yo, I live in Torrance. I think my favorite spot in Sho Tokyo is 大黒家(Daikokuya)
Looking at this sure made me feel like want to eat Sushi
God, I wish we had one of these on the east coast! Miss the food so much!
I brought one of these back home with me. So good!
I haven't return to little Tokyo since 2008's december >.<, its a 5 hr drive from here so wish I could go soon, I forgot the malls name (has some shadowed windows outside and I think its on the 3rd street, also inside its 2nd floor, there's a dojo and an arcade next to it) in there, there's a market that sells the most delicious korokke's in the whole world!!!, you should try them!!!, also miss Anime Jungle, good place to find online sold out figures (sometimes pricey >.<)
I'll check out that Mall. That Mall feels so dead. When you go there, there are not that many people. Someone should bring back the life lol!
Now that they opened the new supermarket, a lot more people are going so it doesn't feel as dead. it would be nice for it to be more lively but with that location the amount of people they get now is a lot better than nothing.
I love Curry House in LA Little Tokyo too, I swear with a friend who loves it we went at least once a week until we run out of money. Seriously that shit is DELICIOUS, people.
OROCHON RAMEN! HELLLLLLLLLLLL YEAH!!!
