Paint Chip

I have a chip on the hair of my Ryogi Shiki Figure. It is pretty noticeable and looks as if a bird dropped on her hair. Is there a good way of fixing this? There doesn't seem to be an indentation where the paint chipped off so I don't think I have to actually repair the figure itself, only the paint job.
I'd really rather not have to buy a new one since it is somewhat hard to find and expensive, but if that's really the better alternative then I guess I really have no choice but to bite the bullet.

Try and see if you can clean it, it might just be a stain. If the paint really did chip off then the only way to fix it would to be to paint it.
it certainly seems that your only alternative is to repaint that hair..If your using water based paint, just be sure to use lots of THIN layers. gets a better effect than one or two really thick layers of paint.
So a water based paint would be the best type of paint to use?
Oh dear! It must be heart aching for you!
This Shiki is indeed rare and expensive now :/
repaint... prob all the hair so it will match. Too bad, but I think you can fix this and this figure is a keeper anyway.
How did this happen? Did you drop it by accident? It hurts me to look at it T_T
Sorry to hear of the damage. I hope the repair goes well, there is such great detail in the kimono and obi.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm you can try to paint over the spot only but it might be hard to mix the exact same brown color and it will still show from close-up since the chip is not that small.
More complicated but probably better result would be to repaint the whole hair, but you'd have to see if you can take the hair apart to paint it.
