PSP vs. Figma+Nendoroid+Gunpla

OK so recently i lost my psp at my work place when someone snatched it from the table literally taking the PSP and my BOSE in-ear speakers with it. And i pray that KARMA will take care of that person for such act.

I currently have money enough to buy a PSP again but sadly Toycon, an event wherein we can purchase tons of Nendoroids, Figma & Gunpla for a very reasonable or very very low price is held this week and i also want to shop for some figures or what not.

I do love to get a PSP again but i also want to shop. Both weighs equal to me so i'm confused as to which one should i get...
Can you help me out here guys?
Which do you think i should purchase?
A psp or tons of figma, nendo & gunpla?

I'm really confused as to how will i decide on this one which is why i now turn to you guys to ask for advice.
Thanks in advance!

Which decision should i go with

Option 2. Wait for a gadget expo and you can get the psp there.

I'll go for the figures first, since it only happen several times and chances to get a good deal
while you can always go shop for psp anytime you want

Well, you lost your psp right? Before doing my suggestion, investigate first. Now if your workplace has hidden cameras then use it for your advantage. If cannot be seen still, I suggest buy another psp than figures, nendos, and gunpla and save it for the next time. Replaces the gadget that was stolen from you but be extra careful the second time around.
But it all depends on you. good luck.

      Like Wannabe17 said.

Check with your boss. Make it a huge deal out of it... theft is theft.

I did say figures 1st since they are harder and more expensive to come by, especially the popular ones, as times goes by. You can always pick up another PSP anytime you want unless it was a 1000 or 2000 series. What series was it btw?

Another advice, don't get BOSE speakers/earphones! They are overpriced for what your getting.

Don't think a website called "Figure.fm" is going to be unbiased >_<

Lots of places sell PSPs all the time, not many sell ltd figures after the Con has passed.

Personally, Id get the figures first. I love my psp, but if I were in your shoes, id def. go for the figures because psp's are literally everywhere and depending on the figures you see, you might not see them for awhile due to them being sold out. Not only that, psp's are always going down in price so if you wait a few months, I wouldnt be surprised if you find a good deal on one.

Well, $100 at Gamestop used. You might find it cheaper online but I wouldnt trust it unless I saw it.

Now that you mentioned about it, my classmate back from motherland was the example of such.
Bought used PSP for $70.00 online convert it into peso maybe 3,000+ pesos. Next in the morning, seen his face dreaded as ever. Got a brick game inside the used PSP box. Got scammed. I feel sorry for the guy.

I have a PSP-2000. Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness are some of my favorite games on the PSP. However, I haven't been playing it much lately, so take that as you will. I just wish there aren't so many ports on the PSP.

If there are good bargains at the Toycon event, I'd get the figures first. Some figures are just hard to find, especially if they had been released awhile back or if they had been sold out everywhere. So if you missed them, it can be rather troublesome to find them again.

In the end, it really boils down to how much you value a PSP or the figures.

Choice #2! PSP's are relatively cheap if you do trades @ a gamestore or you might find someone selling one for dirt cheap. My buddy picked his up for $50 haha.

Figures are available for a limited period and become expensive and hard to find in the long run. PSPs will be available for purchase even 10 years down the road. (^.^)

Well since you posted on an anime loving site, I would have to go with the figures n such ^^' You can get a used psp any time locally or something but figures are hard to come by cheap. Maybe you'll be blessed with an amazing figure(s) at the event =3 but still losing anything sucks especially to theft :/

Loot before boot, my fellow person. The PSP can be bought at any othet time for around 100$. Gunpla cannot be bought cheap any day.

yesh, figures first since, considering that they're on sale means a lot of buyers. not to mention release dates and supplies. PSP's... abundance is not even a proper word for its supply.

Don't know if this is the best palce to post since most of figure.fm is anime crazed...(no offence) I would choose PSP I do love my figurines, but I like to game over them..if you hold out Sony should be coming out with something to rival Nintendo's 3DS.

no... there's no bias here... just common sense... he said he like them both equally nyah :3 but the supplies for figures is scarce as compared to PSP nyah O____O so it is natural for us to go for the figures over the psp...

What?! You just had a BOSE snatched out of you?! I blame the secluded-hearing technology! XD Not exactly a BOSE fan here.

I'd agree to some extent with the Figma-Nendo-Gunpla cause personally, that's what I'd get. But if I were you, I'd buy a PSP. From personal experience, even if I didn't use my PSP back then, knowing that I just lost a PSP is enough motivation to get me a new one. I've had my PSP stolen twice already... I couldn't last the night, for both the times I lost my PSP - I bought a new one the following day. It's weird considering the fact that I didn't use my PSP much back then.

PSP is the way to go. A figure/nendroid/etc is there only to display your status. The more you have means the more money you poured into its investment. However, a PSP is a bigger scratch, but an enormous amount of investment can be made from it. Figures are your own personal collection and you only show it around your room. But with a PSP, you can play games with any other players who also own one as well (being more frequent than none). You just have to search around. If you really want to search out who has your PSP, get a new one and ask around the desks to see if someone plays a PSP and when you play together, check out their specs. See if it looks like your old one.

Methinks you should just wait for a newer version of the PSP. Losing your old one sucks, but it also says something about your carelessness. I lost my NDS on a much more stupid way, but I felt it's a lesson for me because I've learned to be more careful of my stuff, especially in public places.

I agree with most people here, figures are usually of limited quantity and it's not often that you get a toy shopping spree here in our country, so better take the plunge! Besides, PSPs will definitely be on sale during the holiday season XD

    Funny, I'm doing the exact opposite that you're planning to do, I'm selling some figures/nendos ><;;
