E3 2010 Day 1
Well E3 is officially underway and what can I say but wow...all the titles from Nintendo,Sony and Microsoft so far have caught my interest. I would like to be the one to do the coverage, even though I am not a games journalist or at E3 (damn it).
But anyway lets see if this works.
So to start things off,
E3 started with Day 1
Where Microsoft, EA and Ubisoft all had media briefings about what is to come.
Microsoft came out showing the newly titled Kinect (Project Natal), Now I myself think it's just a gimmick but I have to say so far waht i have seen impresses me.
Another Microsoft release was the 360 Slim, which really I wouldn't call Slim, but it is definitely smaller..
WAIT!! A big announcement by Konami the people that brought us Metal Gear...they're now on Xbox360...can anyone else here the PS3 fanboys crying or is that just me???
So Metal Gear: Rising, will be shipping out to both PS3 and 360 owners,
EA, started off by showing the new Medal of Honour made by DICE the creators of BFBC2 and ...well sadly to me it just looks like a Battlefield duplicate, but apparently there are some huge difference so hopefully we will see them at DICE's press conference.
Not much I can say I liked on the Ubisoft front, besides the new Assassins Creed game, but hell I'm sure they have something else up their sleeve.
By the way I'm just using the quoting system as a way of seperating question from my reviews, and reports.
For live coverage of E3 head on over to IGN
And now I post a question to you guys....
What games are you excited for??? Who surprised you the most???
For me, I am a huge Gear of War fan (some might go as far as to say fanboy) and I loved the new gameplay demo they showed off. What I loved even more was the fact the women in the game are not overly sexualised..they're not wearing bikinis running around, its a DAMN war for christ sake.
Video's dont want to work...>_> So head on over to IGN's youtube channel For the videos and a little Chobot loving :D
I'll post Day 2 later tonight, stay tune guys ^_^

Waiting for Halo Reach and Dead Space 2.
E3 started on Monday, so today was the end of day 2.
Totally looking forward towards Crysis 2. Looks awesome.
yeah accidentally mixed up, I live in Australia so it confused what day it was over there xDD
MVC3 is on my want list XD
omg, golden eye!, thats gonna be awsome!, now I need to buy a Wii
See...no overly sexualised women, Well done Epic Games I applaud you.
aye, but they still got the runway model faces
Yeah ! Killzone 3 and mvc3 ! Definitely looking forward to those 2. Also looking forward to MGRising.
Looking forward to see more on the Kinect, & I now have to get a PS3/PSP XD, cos I want the PSP Move stuff... & 3DS, may actually make me upgrade my original DS, who knows? XD
The women become very manly instead...
She's more manly than some of those men XD
I don't think she looks manly, especially in the context of a game where all of the male characters look absurdly hyper-masculine. You just can't see the shape of her body as well as other female game characters because she's wearing armour that actually covers her, instead of a chain mail bikini or something.
Cant wait for this
Really looking forward to GT5, I've been waiting too long for this game.
That game and Twisted Metal I've been waiting too long for X3
I'm really excited about Fallout: New Vegas, Fable 3, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
I was a bit disappointed in this year's E3. I'm not a big fan of all this motion sensing stuff. Also, I was expecting more news on you know... actual games. No information on Beyond Good and Evil 2, Parasite Eve PSP, FF Vs XIII, and several other titles I'm interested in.
Yea, I wasn't really impressed with the motion sensing stuff, either. Outside of The Legend of Zelda and Sorcery, I didn't see any games that actually looked like they'd be any fun with motion controls. I also noticed that Beyond Good & Evil was noticeably absent from Ubisoft's presentation. As to Parasite Eve PSP, if I'm not mistaken they showed a small bit of footage for it during the Sony presentation. It was called The Third Birthday. I'm looking forward to that, as well.
seeing the remake of goldeneye gave me that shiver in my spine
love the game and now this time you can do more things besides shooting like a nut :)
Do you work in an industry to get into E3? The best I hope to do is see whatever I can without a pass and get a poster. Maybe a Marvel vs Capcom 3 poster. Then maybe go to a E3 party.
E3 is open to the public
E3 is NOT open to the public... Only to the members of the gaming media and industry. About to head to bed and get ready for day 2. Some of the parties are open to the public after a specific time.
As for getting in without a badge, the only places that require one are the upstairs, and conference rooms, and of course the show floor itself. Otherwise knock yourself out walking around inside, it's amazing.
I'm pretty impressed actually with Xbox's motion controller. For you Para Para fans, the creators of Dance Dance Revolution has made something very nifty that brings the experience home.
Oh ya my bad, I was thinking about what happened in 2008 when it was invitation only. I was like a freaking ghost town that time! XD
Oh well, I'm here Santa Monica at E3 anyways. Thanks to an friend that actually got me a badge 'cause his co-worker could go, hehe....
I meant couldn't go. Lol, typo
It's not open to the public anymore, it just got way too big for them to handle so its closed to public. Only gaming devs and gaming websites and journalist can get it.
Hey, what about Portal 2 guise, I'm waiting for that 'surprise'.
Oh my bad, Valve cancelled that too.
Still waiting for Portal 2 tough.
The Sony press conference announced Portal 2
I'm wonderin' if this is Anya......
We are living in one of the greatest time for gamer!!!!, Can't Wait!!!!
Poor Sony... they're so clearly playing catch-up at this year's E3, showing us a Wii Remote and 3D that needs glasses while Microsoft shows us Kinect and Nintendo unveil the 3DS. It's not that their stuff looks bad, it's just hard to be impressed when the other companies are showing much more exciting and progressive stuff.
