Comment Notifications

Need feedback from you as to how you want your comment notifications.
Should it be something like you get a mail notification when somebody either leaves a comment on your post or replies to one of your comments or any threaded comments below?
On http://tsubuyaku.fm , users get notification through an @reply in Twitter - would you prefer that instead?

I prefer to get mail notifications when someone comments on my post or replies to my comment. But its best to make all these optional.

Would be great if you got mail notifications when someone posted a comment. Being optional would be nice as well.
In account settings you could have an option for only your topics, an option for only your threaded replies, or an option for every single comment in your topics and topics you've commented in.
I'd prefer being notified for every single comment in my topics and any topic I've commented in. However, being optional would definitely cater to anyone's needs.
By the way, this is a huge feature on Tsuki-board. I love monitoring figures I own or have ordered and discussing them with other members. Even just lurking and following others discussing is great.
Comment notifications are def. a nice addition especially those posting in figure asking for help in various things and what not.
Twitter notification sounds great but would prefer a DM rather than an @reply just to keep things tidy. Would also prefer to be able to subscribe to posts/comments individually rather than a universal setting. With that said, those are just my preferences, it will be great just to have notifications.
Optional is best, (I want to make that decision!) but being notified is a good thing, if you want an answer to specific questions.... otherwise, I do like things as they are....
Prefer if it is emailed on a secondary email, there's bound to be tons of comments and reply to just one post. And if possible, there's an option in each post wether to recieve all the comments and replies or not. Becasue there those that only do one time comment and do not wish to recieve the rest of the comments but want to receieve comments from certain posts only.
So, when a user click the comment button, the comment box appear plus an option to recieve comments and/or replies from that certain post or not.

I just simply check at my comments tab on the post I commented. Not really a problem to me.
Yes, I have been waiting for an email notification system for a long time now, please implicate it asap ;)
I don't suppose you can do something like Facebook? Like putting it under our profile somewhere?
I was thinking something along those lines, too. Adding another tab to the existing Posts and Comments tabs would be nice. The replies to our own Comments or Posts could show up under that tab.
E-mail notification would be good, but it'll be better if it just notify us that there's new comment(s) (i.e. just once until you check the page) instead of one e-mail per comment. >.<
I think the best way to do it is like most other forums do it: you can selectively subscribe/unsubscribe to post comments. Also, just like Dysomnia said above, _one_ email until you check the page.
