June Loot #3
I've managed to purchase this item and was really excited. As equally excited as when i got my Saber Lily. I bought this figure the "illegal" way though - my parents are unaware, because i told them i "ordered this figure last month" and merely waiting for its arrival. They'll kill me if they knew i shopped more. I did put up a guess in my last post (in my blog):
-1/8 scale, 6000-8000 yen
-Short brown hair, grey stockings, brown shoes, rock guitar
-number 7;
'7' refers to any thing about the figure that has this number, such as this number is sculpted or printed on the figure's shirt, guitar, etc, or even the series number of nendo or figma.
Interestingly, many of my friends who are figure & gunpla collectors guessed Hirasawa Yui (can be Alter's school uniform one-6800 yen in Japan, or other versions), and some even guessed the figma version, but figma is only 2000-3000 yen. However, an interestng note here, figma Hirasawa Yui's series number is figma 057, the number 7 is there as mentioned in my guess clues. But, it's not anyone from K-On!. After my success looting of Saber Lily Distant Avalon last month, and now Haruhi Gekisou, you can call me a professional rare figure hunter lol.
Of course, rare items don't come cheap. I got her for RM 430 (9500 yen), shipped by express mail and it arrived at an impressive after 24 hours after being shipped out. O_O I'm starting my own band as well, and it's just a matter of time before i get Mikuru - i know where to find her for a great deal in pricing.

me too. just bought some paints from hlj 2 weeks ago, total price was rm300+, my mom ask me how much was it, i say rm 100+. got scold afterward but hey, it CAN be worse if i didn't lie.

Ebay,my hunting ground for rare figures. But Ebay items tend to be overpriced though. I only spend if i really want it.

I think I'll disappoint you... but this figure is on Sale on Sofmap Nagoya for ¥3,200, and Bic Camera Akiba for ¥3,800.
They hv a lot, and they weren't selling, so the figure went on Sale. Nagato and Mikuru were sold out, and can be found on some used stores on Akiba area by ¥7,500 ^^
thats life for u, one reason why i rather go to JP and buy my goods than order online because u can sometime find those treasures
Agreed, sometimes rare items to us is just another figure to them. I had a few times where I asked my friend to look for figures that is close to impossible/expensive for me to get and she got it for retail or lower.
Indeed, I got my Queen's Gate Alice for ¥4,200 on my first trip ^^ And is so expensive when I find it on eBay and other internet auctions.
LOL... I'm the type who is willing to spend extra for what i really want. A particular figure might be very common in some country, but very rare in others. I can count myself lucky. I offered to buy the 9,300 yen Saber Lily for 15,400 yen in eBay last month as well, after seeing there are a few others already bidding to snatch it, and it became mine... xD
Great that you were able to get yourself one of there. She's an awesome figure. Just becareful with her ahoge.

That's incredible cheap compared to ebay prices, I wish I had a friend in Japan, not too good making penpals ^__^'
Even i buy from Ebay, my search is limited to local eBay only, dun have credit card = cant use paypal (my country does not have the system where you can add funds in paypal from a bank account). I don't buy directly from Japan or overseas, because the shipping costs are a big kill... =.=
That's hard >.<' , just keep in mind that you get quite fair prices if you pre order them through amiami and HS and choose SAL shipping (I don't really know if is available in your country >.<', if not, you are doomed =_='). My BRS Blade Ver. had 20% off from HS, they had the SAL option for her and I had some points left, I had her shipped at 5,181 yen!!!. Of course SAL takes 10-12 days to arrive, but money is money, and I'd rather wait~!!
I'm also kind of hunting for old rare figs, but it's nearly impossible to find them at decent prices over here, all US sites have them out of stock or stupid high prices (200-400usd).
At least I had the possibility to pre order them, but came into the hobby a step later. I'm still looking for Saber Lily, Haruhi Gekisou and Sheryl. I have a lot of pre orders, so I can't pay stupid high prices for this ones~!!!
