iPhone 4!!!!
I woke up this morning at 4 am to wait in line for the new Apple iPhone 4. Waited about 3 hours and got mine right away at around 7:15 and then I came home and played with it all day long. There have been a lot of complaints about calls dropping like crazy when you hold the phone with your left hand but I found no problem with my unit.
Overall, it's an amazing phone and a huge upgrade for me from the 3g, the build quality is solid and feels like you're holding a piece of well-crafted machinery. And the screen is just absolutely gorgeous. I took a few photos of the screen but they don't do it justice. The 960x640 screen is stunning and once you take a few videos with the camera, it really shows. The video quality is great as are the pictures. They rival my little Sony P&S, I might just ditch that and use the phone instead haha.
Anyone wait in line for the new iPhone today?
I also bought a Bumper case, it's really nice at least until InCase comes out with an InCase Slider

I suppose this phenomenon is common in the US and UK? Gadget hardcore fans waking up early to be the among the earliest to grab a new release, some even camped outside the gadget store over night... =.= These phenomenons' photos even came out in my country's local paper. xD
Anyway iPhone 4's features and what it can offer doesn't suit me so i never considered one. In my country data charges are extremely high so 4G speed does not mean anything, unless you subcribe to a postpaid plan, but not worthy since my phone bill rarely exceeds $7 per month. It's ideal for working adults who makes 1000 calls per month and online.
I'm waiting for Nokia N8 to release, as my 1st dull touch screen phone.
Haha yeah, so many people lined up today. I got there at 4 am and I was already number 150. After I left there were at least a few hundred behind me.
The Nokia N8 looks amazing as well. I would have bought it but I don't think it's launching in the US. And the prices for those types of phones unlocked are absurd
It's $450 before tax and subsidies. I'm going for the media functions- the 12MP cam with HD vid recording, and Dolby Digital Surround Sound... >.< Yep, it's pricey. Don't have a digital cam or a DSLR, and didnt plan on buying one cuz' I'm a portable guy who prefers less gadgets to bring along. Wants everything packed in a single device...
Yeah the video recording and all the features look so great. I love how the phone looks too.
I'm beginning to think I only need my phone from now on, I like being a portable gadget guy too. I don't need a camera or an mp3 player or laptop really, which is great.
I saw the line today and it looked crazy!! Though I didn't line up to purchase, since I'm not hyped about the new iPhone. But congratz on your new phone!! I'll have to invest in a smart phone or an iPhone some day.
i was the 2nd last person in line to get it on the 24th, the store i was at is in Cupertino (apple store HQ), the number 1 retailer store in the area, the line lasted for 24 hours already (12AM - 12AM), and 300-400 pre ordered people didnt get theirs yet....i was soo lucky to get it...even the bumpers are sold out already
not an iphone fan myself... but great get :) grats!
I was going to upgrade at launch, but with all the preordering issues I decided to wait until the rush dies a bit. But certainly looking forward to getting my grubby hands on one =D
