Summer = Girls and Swimsuits

Posted by Miette-chan [www]

It’s summer in my corner of the world and when I think of summer two things come to mind, the beach and girls in swimsuits.

Sadly for me, there is no beach near me and I don’t have a cute female companion to take with me.

So instead I settled for taking pictures of the lovely Kos-Mos on her swimsuit. If you are so interested you can take a closer look in this post for my blog.

I will also like to take this opportunity to ask you figure collecting comrades for advise.

Long ago I read bout how some figures would end up becoming oily feeling for certain reasons and how to solve that problem as well. I can no longer remember or find the article describing that; therefore, I would appreciate if someone could point me to a way to solve this issue.

    Not sure if this would help but here's the link to the post you were referring to
    http://www.figure.fm/post/en/11075/Shower.html

    As for myself the only figures that went oily were the comparatively cheap ones and no matter how many times I wiped them it was of no use.
    Can't explain why..but the oiliness seemed to seep from the paint itself

      The film of oil seeps out from the pvc itself.

      The short technical explanation is that plasticizers are added during the pvc manufacturing process to make it softer and more malleable. However, over time, these plasticizers migrate to the surface of the pvc and this shows as the film of oil on your figures. I don't think you can get rid of the film of oil, as it occurs naturally.

    I've noticed that wiping down the oily areas with a bit of 409 and a microfiber cloth seemed to help get rid of the dust and oil/oily feeling for a while although it doesn't go away for good. My two FREEing Haruhi Bunny girls (Haruhi and Ryoko) get that on their shoes and for Haruhi it's also on her ears and outfit. I avoid washing them in particular because I'm not too sure if the dye in their cloth fishnets will stain their legs and I do not want to find out. ^^;

    Such a lovely figure! I wish I could still get one, back when she was released I didn't have the money, but it seems like no one in his right mind would like to part with a figure like this.
    Thank you for making this wonderful pictures.
