MG 1/00 Red Frame Tactical Arms
So last toycon, i purchased an MG 1/100 Red Frame Tactical Arms. Never imagined that this would be the longest build that i ended up. At the previous time i have 2 MG kits constructed ever since i shifted from 1/144 to MG kits. First one was Gundam Aile Strike and next was Exia Ignition Mode. Third kit presents a huge challenge to me since this kit has no skeletal framework.

The kit took me around 5 days to complete given that i also work and study at the same time i also attend online game related events in the city. The challenge was not only present in the non existent skeletal frame but also with the Tactical Arms weapon. Never imagined that it's THAT BIG! The katanas are impressive too! You don't get to see a lot of Gundams wielding the Japanese Katana in each series so this one gets a huge thumbs up given that it wields two of it.
The thing that surprised me also is the weight of the tactical arms weapon. It's enough to pull the gundam leaning backwards that i had to tighten the stand screws to an angle so that the arms won't lean the gundam backwards and fall.

So here are my present kits. No Decals for Exia and Astray for now since i plan to do something for these two. Anyways im looking forward to my new kit that i wish to create. Problem is that i'm tied as to which kit should i construct next.
Oh by the way, the stand of Red Frame is the Char Aznable stand for Red Comet whistle Exia is on Celestial Being white stand.
A poll is available here for you guys to vote which kit would be best added to my collection. You can also recommend yours personal choice by leaving a comment.

you mean MG ZakuII ver 2.0 Char's Custom i guess
Something missing???
Keen eyes! There's supposed to be a white part there...
I just noticed that a few moments ago.. Checked the sprues and found the missing part XD
Installed it afterwards.
Zeta is not bad, Nu Gundam are very heavy(1/144 is better) and Char is not my things.
the funny thing about HG Nu Gundam is that you can use MF f91 innerframe to make it something like RG Nu Gundam xD watch Ngee Khiong tutorial.
LOL really?? gonna check that now
sorry i didn´t said that right, the tutorial is for F91 MG its a size comparison with HG Nu Gundam, and you can only use the legs, waist and arms from the frame, but its possible.
The red parts ARE the skeletal frames, duh!
Actually they are not. When you buy the usual MG kits, it will have a skeletal frame which you will cast each part together. This one however is comparable to a 1/144 kit with tons of articulation and huge sword that is bigger than some 1/144 gundams.
cbf if you want to believe it that way.
this comment gave me lots of laughs
like the others before me, theres a reason why nits called red frame to begin with
youve much to learn "padawan"

see for yourself
Red's pretty much the Frame (Hence the name RED FRAME?), while the white and other colors are the bits of armor slapped on. Just like the RX-178 Mk-II, the frame is not completely covered with armor, simply because it isn't necessary; The astray is supposed to be lightweight, while the Mk-II only needs to protect vital components (Generator, pilot, etc.).
Wrong sides.. Unless it's intended?
That's what the manual stated X_X
no the manual says its the other way
yeah your right there my bad... My initial thought was the red area but when i did rechecked the manual it was the whole piece of those two parts. Decided to stick with the one that i had since it's much cooler.
The truth is you better do some lining works....It just look too plain....
Agreed, maybe also paint the white parts on the hands if you have the materials and patience?
indeed. some panel lining needs to be done. either get a gundam panel line marker or get the gundam mechanical pen with 0.3 mm thick lead
I say get the Zeta 2.0. Sweet build dat Zeta.
im still going to get that kit by getting rid of iwsp :3
You think that 5 days is long? I spent 5 months working on HG Reborns Gundam. :P
