After four days wait, technically three, my daughter has made her way to my doorsteps. XD Presenting dollfie dream Rei Ayanami! Although at first i would've like to get Rei Ayanami French Maid version, this was something else i wouldn't mind getting.
Like everyone else, i was surprised at the size of this dollfie, even with all the measurements and size comparison, i'm still trying to take it all in. I was very excited that she came in.
I mean that box is huge 0o0

This is Chiaki's head, without a body, i'll invest in a MDD body soon...i think i'll have to fix her face up a bit
Rei's wearing Chiaki's wig, i haven't stylized it to give it her ahoge yet...need to order some water wax for that ^^
My second dollfie arrived before my first @.@ but i'm happy with this purchase. My only problem now is that she has a DDI body...so that means elastic stringing to hold the doll together T^T I will have to invest in a DDII body at some point. At first her eyes really bothered me, still does every once in a while, but in the promotional pics they were really dark, but i've come to appreciate them. The last complaint is her wig...it's just too big >.> rubber band time? Well that's all for now, i'll post more pictures later. Until next time XD

At first she wasn't to me, but with time she grew onto me and i just up and bought her XD

You might want to consider the Obitsu 50cm body over the MDD body. I love Namiko, my MDD, but the MDD has certain problems which make it less than optimal. The inner skeleton inside the MDD does not lock together: instead, one piece fits into the next piece. Sometimes this is a feature instead of a bug: taking the wrist joint off of the arms allows for easy dressing when you have long, fitted sleeves in a costume. But sometimes it's an annoying bug, with arms coming apart at the elbow joint when you least want it to.
The Obitsu 50cm body has a lock-together skeleton, and is known for its ability to pose and to hold poses. It's also a gorgeous body sculpt, equal to the DD2 and the DDDy. You're in the US so you might want to order through Junky Spot: http://www.junkyspot.com/obitsu50.html

Psyche, one other thing: are you going to keep the wig and the outfit? If not, I'm interested. Yumiko has been bugging me something fierce to get a Rei cosplay together. She already has her red eyes. I won't need the body stocking, she already has one, and that's something you really should have for your DD.
I plan on keeping her default items, she isn't rei without her eyes and wig XD

Congrats! She is defintiely a cutie! I've always liked Rei.... I think it's the blue hair and those piercing red eyes. Glad to see you have a daughter to play with now! Keep us updated on how she gets to know the place. :)
