Summer's day out
In a matter of minutes after receiving Rei, i decided to take her outside to take some photos. The house was dull and kind of dreary. So a natural setting was in order. Sorry if the quality isn't very good. I shall have to make a DSLR purchase, and soon at that. Any preferences?
Rei: ...hello...
I love how this shot turned out. I feel that it can be interpreted as being shy, mad, or Tsundere? Anyways, as most of avid dollfie collectors know, if not, Rei has the same head as Aoi, or the default head no. 2. So some tsundere characteristics may show up unexpectedly.
a partial close up on Rei's face. The colors of the eyes are a bit intense, but then again she does have red eyes. I figured out why her eyes bothered me so much, they're not elliptical shaped, they're circles, which is why i was bothered so much.
Lacking a stand, some shots are done while holding the camera in one hand, doll in the other XP
I managed to get her to stand without leaning on anything. I think it's a lot harder to do as the first body type has the elastic stringing in the body to hold her together, so I'm quite glad with my results.
Fruit picking.
I'm surprised that she was able to stand like this >.> but...
...she fell over with a slight wind.
Rei: how do i look?
Absolutely adorable, in my own opinion. So here's my wig for my custom girl Chiaki. I need to do some trimming to make her ahoge. Some water wax will have to be ordered soon. ^^

Rei: This one looks ripe.
Um, not quite yet. I tried to explain to her that it's going to take a bit longer for it to ripen, but she wouldn't have any of it, and picked it right off the tree. Turned out that it was too sour @.@

I like ze Rei! Her face definitely matches Rei's attitude, but very different than what I'm used to. Ouch for the wind >_<
I know what you mean, there are many renditions of Rei, and many of which i really like, but this Rei captures something about her that i just like.

Yes she can be clumsy, but she is graceful at it XD She needs a better body because the stringing can be quite troublesome at times.

The DD strung type has beautifully sculpted knees, don't you think? They look quite realistic. ^^
i think so too ^^ but her legs tend to do odd angle bends if i tilt her at certain angle XP

The DD1 has its advantages as well as its drawbacks. I just made you a contact on my Flickr and I notice you had Rei "cute sitting." See, you can't do that with DD2 or DDDy.
I've notice that there are certain poses that can be made with this body, so i might use it when certain poses are needed. Only problem is that the arms don't really like staying up for long periods of time -_-''

lol true, this is the DD type 1 body, so it has elastic stringing, looks odd, but it does allow for some poses to be done XP

There was actually a breeze, but most of the time it was pretty tame so there wasn't many fly away hairs, and a brush does wonders to a wig, especially one that long XD
