Figmas & Dragons

Posted by Anthony C. [www]

My new Chessex battle mat came in at the office the other day. After I brought it home, some of the figmas and nendos decided they wanted to try playing D&D for themselves. Miku is representing Haruhi's character, Haku is standing in for Mikuru's character, and the ever-cheerful Koizumi has offered to be the Dungeon Master. This mat has 1" squares on one side and hexes on the other. I was surprised to see that the nendo petit bases almost fit in the squares, might make great backup minis.

Not much love for RPGs huh? I personally love getting together with a bunch of friends and playing a few games. They'll suck if your GM isn't prepared/focused, but it can be a perfectly fun game IMO. Also helps when you've got a bunch of cute chicks who also RP...

Sans chicks, it turns into a bit of a sausage fest... Less fun~

It really is a great way to bond with people. My co-workers are big on RPGs as well. Each time we get together it's always a rip-roaring time.

Of course, our inability to talk to 3D girls takes the sting out of the lack of females. :P

"No savings throw for you"! Been a long while since my D&D days, but it was fun! Nice show, could there be more RPG's in the future?

    o.O

I sure hope so. I've been playing a lot of GURPS lately, and my brother's starting up a Pathfinder campaign this weekend.

I play. Quite a lot, usually. It's the major reason my only vacation is GenCon.
