New loot. EMS - extra fast.

Posted by Al-Tank [www]

Not exactly certain about Japanese side of EMS post service, but as practice showed on several occasions American side of EMS, serviced buy US Postal Service is quite slow.
But not this time, oh no!
AmiAmi shipped my long awaited pre-orders on Thursday, June first, imagine my surprise when I saw a postman at my door step early Saturday morning.

Mouseover = load notes.
New loot. EMS - extra fast.

Blast it, I say! That was fast!

Mouseover = load notes.
New loot. EMS - extra fast.

And look what he brought me.

    nice loot, I also ordered the Azusa nendoroid just like 2 days ago, but i ordered from hobby search, so they still have not sent it. Im also using ems so hopefully it will be here by next week. Did you have to pay customs and if you did can you tell me how much it was?

      Frankly saying, I had never really had to pay any customs fees or anything like that.

    Anything marked as "toy" will never get charged with custom fee for the US.

        Unfortunatly, I've been charged customs several times on things marked "toy" coming to Canada. It's kind of hit or miss. Sometimes there's a charge and sometimes not.

    EMS is always insanely fast for me. Things ship to me from Japan faster than things shipped within the US. As for customs, I think it has to be a really large amount to have any customs charge is added. And yeah, I don't believe toys ever get charged anything. I've had up to 600 US dollars on one order and I've never been charged a dime in custom fees.

    If you don't mind me asking, how much was the shipping from amiami? How heavy are those playsets?

    I bought 4 playsets initially and the shipping was like 4420yen which meant the package would have been 5.5KG for 4 playsets..... thats pretty crazy............

      Ah sorry, read it the Hobby Search EMS chart wrong. more like 2.5KG.
      Still, they must be some pretty heavy playsets...

        Yep, they are 'kinda large and made from solid plastic. So, 2.5kg ~5 lb is about in the ballpark estimate.

    I got my Azusa from Amiami a few months ago, well pre-ordered anyway. She turned up two days after they shipped her, the Nendoroid that is.

    I wasn't expecting her for a few weeks so I was pleasently suprised at how fast it actually was.

    EMS always been pretty fast for me. Though usually I'm not there to sign for it 90% of the time so I always have to drive out and pick it up. My Miku VN02 was shipping July 1, and it got here July 3 so I say that's pretty fast.

    Speaking as someone outside the US who's ordered a fair bit of stuff from the States, most of the time it seems that the US postal service is slooowwwwww.
