A Certain Leisured (?) Excursion 3

Yes, you are looking at the clock right, the day started in the early hours of July 2nd

"efficient" packing. one big bag, one back pack, one shoulder strap bag, wind breaker, some items to keep me not bored (light novel and my PSP this year), brown bag (next image), and some cloth for the next day (which is really a T-shirt and extra underwear).... Can't forget my hat!!!

My breakfast for the day. Turns out that this would be the only food and drink my body will get until like 6:00 PM... Nice flight by the way by United...

So this is a story. I rode a bus from LAX to LA Union Station. There, I SHOULD have taken a bus, except I was adventurous and though I could take the local rail. Saw some con goers (Two Bleach Cosplayers and some custom Naruto ninja *insert expletives*) on the Gold Line Metro, and asked them where I should get off at. They told me to "stay" on this line until the end. Good thing I wasn't THAT much brain dead. Turns out, that train goes ALL the way to East LA, and I figured it out since it went the completely different direction from where the Convention Center was. So now, I am on the other side of this big bridge, and I hoofed it to the convention. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with people lately... So you get some early morning LA scenery~

the pre-reg line~ It was long~ but at least it went by REALLY fast.... There was such a small line for like at the window con-goers....

Badge and Ticketo GETO~ Crossed out my name for privacy issue but that nickname is also me. So if you see me around the internet under this name or that, chances are you are talking to me. And since I had nothing to do... Straight to the shops I GO~

So one thing that I learned today, I should actually CHECK what's inside the box... No Blazblue to play... Although I had my Macross Ultimate Frontier that I am just trying to get all S ranks in...

So the concert... The Megumi Nakajima and May'n Concert... OMG... Those of you who liked Macross MISSED an awesome concert. Very short review:

-no camera inside the Nokia theater, therefore, someone is bound to do it~. For a non profit organization, I really did want AX to release a DVD of this concert. You'll understand why...

And ofcourse, as a sound director, she probably written and directed all the songs, so she danced along with Nakajima for Seikan Hikou... AWESOME)

AWESOME AWESOME concert... A mecha fans dream come true in the states. This concert is probably the main reason why I ventured out there, and sorta killed myself for it...

I think the concert did not end on time (or it was long and beautiful~) So I missed the majority of DC's little inspirational speech... T_T

Found some of my forum friends and we did a live internet radio kind of thing... They sold vuvuzela's here.... How can you do that.... I like them on TV better...

So late night table top game room, after visiting gamerabaenre's panel on Gunpla building. It was sorta the same as last year, so I decided to leave... =P -but man, his jokes... Bit edgy there!

A different group of friends and I started to play charades. After our initial round, we got the AX staff for the game room to join, then we got more people to join. Then the head person of the staff told the room....

"Join this game and win prizes"... Damn, what started as a four man stupidity became a full fledged event...

My breakfast on Saturday. So yea, food... Ummm, on Friday, after the initial airplane home made meal, I had one over priced bottle of Squirt, and then at midnight, bought a Subway... Yea, I don't know how I am still alive and not dehydrated... I bet it's my body fat... T_T -damn, it... my fatness saved me...

The Nakajima Panel... I got the last question!!! And I had to say, I don't know if it was appropriate for the last question, since it was a bit serious in nature... In short, I asked her if she had any pressure doing the character Ranka, since I recall 3 years ago at Fanime, I saw the Iijima Mari concert, and she talked about her personal demon with her character "Lynn Minmay". In short, she said she did, but a lot was riding on her, so she had no chance to actually stress out about it, so she just did it.

^_^ -her voice, sooo cute...

and then the autograph session... Did not take photo's sorry, but this was truly a mess... Staffers didn't know where to line people up, told us to come back at a certain time, and when I got there earlier, there was already a line and I missed my place... I mean, how can you do that? Then people just started to gather and wait in mass. and then formed lines, which was again, not fair, since some of those people 9including myself) have been inside the dealers room waiting for the first Nakajima signing right after the panel. So in all, I spent mostly 6 hours in one location, and I was seriously near the back end of the line (since when I got my signiture, it was 10 min. before the dealer room closed, and there were some in front of me who waited less than I have... I mean, what???). I did feel sorry for some of the people in back of me who have been waiting. There was this ranka Cosplayer and I sorta wished I dragged her in, although that might have been risky... Results in a loot post later...

so before while the staff told me to "wait" for the signing (first one), I was walking around to see where my return bus left, and just roam around.... This is what I saw outside... Hilarious....

Who are these people?? Just saw a line, and snapped a pic, since they are related to Haruhi I think... I felt bad since I accidentally turned on the flash. That was a poor judgment call on my part....

made both of my required bus, and went through airport security, and I end up with food~... Like my previous day, I did not have a chance to eat, again... or drink...

T_T -why am I still alive?

in the end note: due to how the autograph session went down, I could not do anything else... I am sorry danny for RSVPing to your event, and then I did not show. I am hoping to see what it was like at the meet up~

and today, I work again.... A Leisured Excursion my ass.... But definitely fun... Will post my cosplay pics and loot pics later, since I don't want to overboard this thread with mass of pictures, which I already do...
