Which of these 3 photos is the most Amazing? Which of these 3 photos would you consider to be a piece of Art?

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku.

Figma Seto San.

Nendoroid Kureha.

Amazing? that would be Miku! Piece of art? that wud be Kureha^^
Hmm....is that so? Thanks for commenting. ^ ^
ur welkom^^ yeh, lyk monev said. Miku has a less visual clutter as compared to the two.the heart (biscuit, isa dat a biscuit?) goes along well with her^^. And in kureha's pic, I think the background is not a visual clutter for this shot, but part of it nyah^^
Yes that's a biscuit. ^ ^
Yum Yum

Really like Miku's ^^ But I've already seen Kureha's photo shoot and if it were a different pic (of the same photo shoot) then I would pick Kureha ^^
Which photo from Kureha's did you like the best?
I would have to say miku is the best overall shot because it has the least amount of visual clutter. and we all seem to enjoy the interactions of figmas, nedos interacting with real-world objects.
seto's picture could be improved by a darker/more colorful background (as she is lightly colored), removing items that don't have purpose in the photo (including figma stand, since you can't see the feet anyway she can be held up by anything), and maybe playing with the brightness curves a bit.
Hmm...visual clutter huh? I chose these 3 because like you said, had interaction with other objects. Is a simple portrait (objectless background, single object in focus) recommended?
Seto San's photo is actually a random photo I took a while ago. Unlike the other 2, it wasn't set-up. ^ ^;
well if it wasn't set up, then it wasn't set up, and that's one thing. But generally when setting up a photo, especially when intending to create art, every thing should have a purpose. Every shape, color, line, highlight, shadow, etc. should either be the main subject, or relate directly or indirectly to the subject. weather it be to something to help narrate the scene, provide contrast for the subject, create a visual cue for the eye to travel along connecting subjects, creating a true/false sense of scale, etc. etc. so long as it does something useful to the composition.
For example in the Miku photo: The black HP monitor and Acer speaker, provide excellent border contrast to the lightly colored Miku/toast main subject. keeping the eye from wondering away from that main subject. However, The fact that i can tell its an HP monitor and Acer speakers doesn't mean anything specifically to the picture you are painting, and therefor, clutter. If they were just "unidentifiable black things" that removes the excess visual information and is no longer clutter.
The contrasting example: In the Kurena photo, on the shelf there are several books. even tho none of the actors in the photo are directly interacting with the books, their presence identifies the location as "a book self" which is setting the scene for the subjects to tell the story that is expressed in the photo. and since the books themselves arn't very identifiable as anything other then "some kind of book" they just register in the brain as "books" without creating any additional visual clutter.
so if you are setting up a photo, look through the viewfinder, and for everything that is visible ask yourself, "what does it do?" if the answer is, "nothing really." nix it (if realistically possible).
I hope that explains it. =)
Ah, thank you very much. I will try my best and keep these tips in mind. ^ ^
Yep, I've noticed that Miku looks more appealing than the other 2, only to realise it'd because of a contrasting tone of the background. I used to ignore backgrounds when photoshooting, but after examining why official photos released by manufacturers look impressive i found out th main reason - backdrop.
I actually have paid much to the background either. I knew that it shouldn't have too much objects but that's all I knew.
kureha is better for me, I like the focus despite of every surrounding girls
miku looks appealing because you shoot it right in the middle, the object is occupying more less 50% of the space, which usually give more appealing effect
Thanks for your feedback!
Why did most people chose Miku? I think the Kureha one is just too adorable!
Kureha is adorable but Miku is adorable too! ^ ^
