Figure Studio
In the last post I was showing the results with the studio.
It was actualy an emergency idea, I got it how am I going to do the trick, and quickly made up the studio with all I have, without any proper preparation.
So here it is, a quick, or an 'emergency' studio I made ^^;

This is the rough look.
My room is so dark, you see.
This pic is taken using the best blitz a Sanyo Xacti have, plus supported with the room light.
... And yet it's still seems so dark...

See? I told you the room light's on.
Seems pretty dark, isn't it? ^^;

And here it is with the 'studio light' on.
Much brighter than it seems^^
And in here, as you can see, my past pics(not uploaded it here XD) are taken with that pink carpet with bears in there XD

Folded the carpet for a better movement of the lantern light.
Since I move it by dragging it, the carpet's wool-like material makes it stuck again and again ><

This is how it is without the studio lights on.
Again, using the flash.
I always set the flash with automatic, so I can figure out how much light do I need.

Xan reveals the truth behinf those white backgrounds....
It's true, actually I'm just usin the white sides XD
Maybe I'll use other side later on.

Xan : "And so, all this is made through an instant thought..."
Sets up in around 3-5 minutes, and taking the photos in some hours, that includes thinking of the poses, the background fell off, and taking the same pose again and again.

And the result comes like so.
It could differ by the way you use the lights and the camera you're using^^;
So how about yours?
Do you have your own studio or always take pics outdoors?

My studio is as cheap as it can get.
I have an A3 sketchbook and just rip out a piece of paper from it.
Then proceed to stick half of it on the wall and the other half on my desk (near the window) so it's a mini Greenscreen (Eh, whitescreen?) studio. Also have a lamp next to it.
The paper is right next to my laptop, so I can check fast enough if the picture actually worked out or not.
Greenscreen technically refers to a technique in which you replace all the green in the picture digitally with another background...so no, not greenscreen unless you actually do that. ^^; Still, we get what you mean.
I actually did try that once.
But there was too much noise and looked horrible D:
Wow, straight out from the sketchbook o.o
This one's actually a leftover that's not yet used, and it bugs me quite alot knowing these is not used at anytime sooner.
So I put it out and set it up in an instant^^;
The emergency lights are taken from the other rooms, actually.
The trick is to create your own softboxes.
Have a much more powerful florescent, point it away from the figure. Have it pointing into a shallow foil dome. Attach the dome to a very thin piece of white felt or consistent textured material. The light will bounce off the foil onto the cloth and create a large area diffused light. But the trick is to increase the amount of light because in your setup you can see that it is falling short.
Well, at the time, I was actually just trying out this studio^^
And I feel like it's going to be fun to make more of these, so I'm going to try the proper trick to do these.
Of course, I'll also try to make my own softbox^^
I use a table lamp and color paper!
