June/AX loot and autographs
Here's my loot for June along with the stuff I got at AX...

Main shot of all the stuff I got for June and AX...

I'm pretty big Macross F fan so I'm so happy I was able to get Mayn and Megumi Nakajima's autographs. The concert was epic! Megumi Nakajima was really nice. She wrote 'kira' and 'dakishimete ginga no hate made' on my shikishis!

Autographs of some of the members of AKB48. I also got to attend their meet and greet..it was pretty fun.

Autographs of the people who worked on Higashi no Eden: Tomohiko Iishi, Kenji Kamiya and Satoru Nakamura

Sketches by Fumio, Kuuchuu Yousai (creator of Nanael from Queens Blade), Yuki Takano and Toshihiro Kawamoto

Autographs of seiyuus Horie Yui, Kuribayashi Minami, Asakawa Yuu and Kitamura Eri

Autographs of seiyuus Masakazu Morita, Katsuyuki Konishi and creator Shinichi Nabeshin Watanabe

Autographs of Sophia, Uron and Mell

K-on Stuff for the month

Queens Blade stuff...the iphone case is signed by Kantaka, creator of the character Aldra..

Nanoha stuff

My fave pvc of the month is the Sheryl Hobby Japan limited pink edition.

Love that Jigoku Shoujo doll! Been looking for that for awhile...

Found a lot of cool Sailor Moon stuff at AX

To Aru stuff

Wigs and undies for my daughters..

more sketches..

And met the man himself, Mr. Danny Choo! What an honor. Such an awesome guy!
I was able to attend the AX Meet and Greet. Along with Danny, Eri Kitamura, Yui Horie, Msakazu Morita, Yuu Asakawa and Nabeshin were also in attendance. It was really fun interacting and eating breakfast with the guests.
AX was just amazing this year!

Wow how did you get that many autographs from the same people?? O_o
I actually went to all of the signings. Definitely had no time to eat all 4 days..lol..
lol I ate two meals each day: breakfast at 6am and dinner at 8pm-midnight, definitely nothing in between (except two cereal bars lightinsabre gave me). I thought I was kind of crazy, but you're the most insane here lol (in a good way, passion power to the MAX!)
Next time I should stick with you ahahahahah that way I could get craploads of autographs!
lol eating... I had two small rice balls and 3 pieces of chicken karage for breakfast at 6 AM on the second day, and finally was able to eat something at 0:00 AM on July 3rd. That morning, around 9:30, I ate two doughnuts and drink milk, which tied me in for a 2x quarterpounder at 7:30 PM... yea, we did not eat at AX... I mean seriously, con = eating a crap ton of junk food, or not eating at all. I am surprised on the second day I attended, I didn't keel over and die...
wow, lucky person~
I usually don't get multiples...but Macross is Macross...lol..
I mean, even I had trouble getting both May'N and Nakajima's autograph, and I think I can see many MANY people not being able to get either one of them (or none of them). And I thought I was lucky... T_T -and I didn't even have a chance to eat for those two...
then again, my task was rather easy, since I only wanted those two autographs... Maybe Konishi (although it would have been nice just to talk to him, since he sounds like a character in the first Audio Commentary of the first TTGL movie). And maybe Nabeshin, if I just KNEW what he did...
I agree it was almost impossible to get a signature with a ticket, how did she(he?) managed to get so many?? There was way too many people and sessions were either very close to each other or conflicting with one another. I feel lucky just to have one of each! (and I only got it from three people lol)
I was lucky that they started the line pretty much in the area where I was already standing in most of the sessions. I also won a bunch of them at the charity auction.
Ok note to myself, attend charity auction! XD
I'm fine with my May'n Nakajima autographs, but I sure could've been more happy with MOAR of Konishi ^^
well, 4th day was free signing, although that seems even harder (which means CAMP OUT! *ugh*) . I seriously still believe it is luck. Just being there at the right time, and right place is definitely important...
Also as a note: I AM NOT trying to bash this guy for taking 2 possible sets of autograph from other people. All I am trying to say, is that this guy here has some dedication and balls (sorry if you are a girl, but you get my point) to accomplish that task.
i think it is luck due to the AX autograph policy. i was actually surprised i was able to get it. even for the nakajima line for open autograph i actually wasn't going to go for it since i wanted kawamoto but they opened the line right in front me... but the ones for horie and kitamura were impossible, I was just lucky I happened to walk by and saw that they were signing in the dealer's hall.
correction: saw them signing at the NIS booth
wow, great loot as always^^
quite a lot of signatures you got there!
thank you!! ^^
O_O Incredible! So much awesome, I always love seeing your loot posts! :D I'm sooo envious of your MELL autograph, I bet she was amazing to meet in person. Were you able to go to her performance??
Thanks ^^ . Yea Mell was a lot of fun! She was pretty crazy in her panel. I was able to see her concert for a bit.
AKB48... One of my favorite bands... *_*
yea they're pretty cool
Good GOD!! @ @
My eyes are spinning from all that. So much loot. soooooo many autographs.
I am amazed you pulled that all off. Were you even able to see any of the other con outside of autograph lines ? Do you have any tips for line jumping or what ?
Yea, I was able to attend all the panels I wanted to, except for Yui Horie and Eri Kitamura's. But since I was able to meet them at the Meet the Guest, I was ok about that. The only problem I had was that my planned schedule was so tight that I couldn't take a break to eat (good thing i brought granola bars). My tips for getting autographs is to run..lol... I also got some of them at the charity auction.
Haaa. I know my day 1 was so packed I didn't eat either. I barely at at the con the entire time tbh, and quite frankly, it wasn't because the food was so expensive. That may have had a little bit to do with it though I suppose. I just wasn't much hungry. Heck, I went to subway twice, and was only able to eat half of my 12 inch sub. Usually I eat both halves with no problem.
Anime Expo should happen more often I think. What a great way to diet. Lots of exercise and less eating. And when I do eat there, it seems to be a bit more healthy than what I usually eat. (6" inch club sub+apple slices)
Unfortunately, I don't think running would help me much. On the last day, I was camping out for May'n. Came and waited and hour and a half before the musical guest of honor signings. Despite waiting there before anyone else, I somehow managed to be the 84th person in line when they opened up the line. BLEH.
Totally agree with you there about AX being a diet plan! lol!
That sucks about the May'n line. I'm not sure if I agree with the current AX autograph policy. I think it was pretty much impossible to enforce the wait until 15 mins before the signing rule. During the last couple of years they were giving out numbered tickets once you got in line in the autograph line and exchanged your panel tickets. I liked that policy because the people who wanted to line up earlier got to be first and people couldn't cut...instead of the current rule where it was kinda just luck where they started the line and you happened to be there and people were shoving and pushing and cutting...the horror stories i heard about the kitamura and horie line is a prime example for this year. kinda reminds me of the haruhi line in 2007...that line was insane.
yea~ What did happen to our numbered ticket system...
He must get a lot of wrist exercise to be able to do all his autographs like this.
I don't think so... I didn't see that much of a line at the Nabeshin autograph line... I really wanted to get one, but I had nothing for him to sign, and I sorta did not want to be disrespectful and have him sign like my AX pamphlet -especially since I only know him to be big in anime, not like I know any of his anime...
Whoa, that's a crazy amount of loot and autographs. I salute you.
thank you. ax was certainly tiring this year. i think i need a vacation from that vacation
Love seeing your loot posts. Am i safe to assume youre a pretty big ichigo mashimaro fan?
yea love that show. so cute! they need to make more
I agree. I'm still waiting for the seventh volume of the manga to come out. It's been over a year now since the last volume. :( What art style do you like the original, ova, or encore?
Hmmm...you know now that you point it out, there is a difference huh. I guess i'd go with the original tv series. how about you?
That is a massive loot pile!
Damn I wish I coulda got that much stuff. Maybe next year. :P
I'll start saving today! haha.
I need to work on getting more autographs next time also.
You are a true Hunter!!!
I feel very small and embarrased =(
awwww...don't be...it's all just about being passionate about your hobby!
...and money, opportunity and luck. Without money, opportunity and luck passion can only get you so far.
I cannot believe u got most of their autograph! For a woman u sure are crazy but at the time good job I envy u^^
thanks. it was pretty tough. ax just had too many great guests this year. but still had a great time
What happened to Her ?
i think the contents of the box got jostled since i checked in my luggage flying back...i should be able to put the pieces back easily.
good good~ :D
ah i want~
nice lewtz, really.
thanks!
QUESTION!!! What are those boards that you collect your signatures on? I've been using a book this whole time and I think that those boards will offer much more in terms of writing space and presentation.
Damn... Wished the Singapore Con, Anime Festival Asia will get their shit in gear and actually hold more autograph sessions. ...and not only for those who actually bought the 200 dollar concert tickets...
Also would like to know how one can go about getting sketches as you seem to be pretty experienced when it comes to that matter.
those boards are called shikishi. i think these are the standard boards that most people use to get autographs in japan. they usually have them in japanese stationary stores and even kinokuniya carries them.
i like shikishi since it does give more space for guests to write and personalize your autograph. also it is easier to store or frame because of the uniform size. however having autographs in sketch books are nice too since you have it all together. a lot of my friends get their autographs this way and it's usually a nice conversation piece since the guest may have worked with someone in your autograph book.
wow i didn't know they actually charged for autographs? i'm assuming that's the may'n concert?
as for sketches....sometimes the guest will draw on their own if time permits. they'll ask for your favorite character and just draw for you. this is how i've gotten most of my sketches, pretty much from the kindness of the guest. and it's pretty crazy how fast they can draw actually.
other times they will have their own booths in the dealers' hall and you can just commission one. The ones from this post that were not done by Kawamoto or Nakamura were obtained in this way.
i've also used yahoo auctions as well.
Awsome!
Wow...Impressive...Most Impressive. 8D
The group of K-On dolls looks amazingly accurate. Do the dolls really look like the pics on the box?
the only doll actually on that pic is the one in the middle of mugi. the rest are just Banpresto UFO catcher figures. They're actually pretty nice for cheap figures.
wow pricey
yea Sailor Moon items are pretty pricey since a lot of them are hard to come by since the show is pretty old
O_O Whoa! If I called that loot epic, I wouldn't be doing it justice. That is, without a doubt, one of the best hordes I've ever seen. You certainly can't be accused of not being dedicated. ^_^
...and to top it all off, you have Nabeshin's autograph!!!
lol. thank you! ^^ i try.
Rider 1 helm?? Nice
yea too bad it's not 1/1 scale tho
Is this a displayed figures?
it's a 1/12 scale beatmania arcade set ups. they look pretty fun to make and display other figures with
How lucky!! You got a keen eyes to get a rared one ^Y^ (A real rared one)
You know, this comment of yours got to be happy!! in 4 days, you got some autographs from the popular persons (Even boss danny & the half jap-pimay May'n)..you got a rared figures also..thanks to showing us ^Y^
you're welcome. glad you enjoyed it
Jeez so many autographs. Wish everything didn't overlap so badly >.<
i agree. ax just had too many great guests and panels. because of the overlap i couldn't go to the other panels i really want to go to. i guess they really made you chose which one you want...
I think you should blur out his contact info before he get's mass mailed. Just out of respect ^_^, he gave his card to you, not to everyone else. Thanks.
Done! Thank you so much for noticing.
Nice!TwT
So many goodies OoO
yea i was surprised that he started drawing in his last signing since i heard he didn't do it in his first one. i was kinda lucky i guess.
I want this $o$
So. Much. Stuff.
Sometimes, I do hate living on the other side of the pond :)
Is it harder to get stuff there?
Thatsa big ahoge...
Which company made this?
